ENG Event pokemon names show up as ?????? same with OT name.

I've got a ton of ENG event pkm files that were distributed in the USA.

When I transfer them to my save game and open them up in either the Emulator or transfer them to my DS, they show up as ??????? for PKM name and OT name.

Any ideas why?

All other stats and figures seem to be ok.

you have to convert them before you put gen 4 pkms on a gen 5 game.

You have to simulate the Poketransfer that is required for Gen4->Gen5 Pokemon.

Poke Transfer by Kazowar is a drag and drop converter, which can be found on the forums.

edit: didn't realize this was in the pokegen forum lol

Or have some basic knowledge of what happens during the actual Poketransfer process. KazoWAR's program is absolutely not a necessity.
