Pokesav saving problems

I have a problem. As i cant trade to evolve some certain pokemon, i use the pokesav on Pokemon Platium. I try changing my Haunter to a Gengar and to make him Shiny. I do everything required, and then i press save. Put it to the DS, start, nothing changed, still have a Haunter...Then i changed the save slot to where to save it, tried 1, 2, auto, nothing worked.

I know that this can work, because i already changed my Graveler into a Golem, but somehow it doesnt work now. I use a normal SD card. I am afraid to use the function "Save as", as my save file would be lost forever then, this happened once.

Why not use Save as? Just save it with a different name to preserve your old save file in case of corruption.

Just did, and still the same. One i took my Card out of the pc, and back inside, i checked, it was still set as Gengar and shiny. But once i inserted it inro my DS, and loaded the game, it was a Haunter. I then put my card back into the pc, and to see that it somehow changed AGAIN. There stands Haunter. How? How can my DS reverse the changes done to the save file? How to deactivate that?
