AJFire Posted October 29, 2010 Posted October 29, 2010 Hi everyone. Today I found a software called IR-GTS. With it, I'm able to send my Emerald-Pokemon to the GTS. Everthing works fine until one thing: The Pal-Parked pokemon has a Nickname-flag an when I remove it, it says "TrashBytes: Invalid". When I drag this pokemon to Trashbytes.exe, it crashes: D:\Eigene Dateien\HyperGTS>TrashBytes.exe Trasla.pkmPokemon TrashByte Normalizer - by: Sabresite - vB2 File: Trasla.pkm Unbehandelte Ausnahme: System.IndexOutOfRangeException: Der Index war außerhalb des Arraybereichs. bei ☻.☻(Byte[]& ☻, Boolean ♥, Boolean ♣) bei ☻.☻(String ☻) bei ☻.☻(String[] ☻) D:\Eigene Dateien\HyperGTS> Do you know a solution?
Kaphotics Posted October 29, 2010 Posted October 29, 2010 don't remove the nickname flag, or just manually input them and correct the checksum
Bond697 Posted October 30, 2010 Posted October 30, 2010 just so you know, those emerald .3gpkm files are a different size and format than regular pkm files. ir-gts is the only thing that can handle them and they will crash the trashbyte fixer if you try to run them through.
AJFire Posted October 30, 2010 Author Posted October 30, 2010 I think I know the reason. The TrashBytes.exe is incompatible with *.pkm-files from Heartgold/Soulsilver. But finally I got it to work: - Export the Pokemon from Emerald with "Enciclopedia Pokemon" (You get a *.3gpkm-File) - Upload the file with IR-GTS (Here) - Close it after sending the Pokemon to the GTS and start HyperGTS. - Open the recived *.pkm-file with Pokegen and set Game to D/P, select DP as Target Game - Open the saved *.pkm-File with Pokesav for D/P and remove the Nickname-Flag - Use the Trash Byte Fixer.exe - Pokemon should now be ok. But my Swellow says "PalPark Country: Indeterminate"...
Kaphotics Posted October 30, 2010 Posted October 30, 2010 Make sure you don't have weird character nicknames, that might have done something wrong. Indeterminate means you used a lot of characters for the nickname, or something like that. It's when there isnt enough trash spaces to determine if there are correct trash bytes at all (ex Metagross) Upload the file in question?
