Create Event WiFi

Not sure how feasible this is, since I've never experienced an event. I think I'm right in saying that event items/pokémon are distributed by a WiFi network?

If this is correct, then is there any possibility to create a "fake" server using a PC and connect a DS to it via WiFi to simulate an event, and hence gain an event pokémon on the game?

Sorry if this has been suggested before or isn't possible, it's just an idea that hit me

If all you want to do is distribute a pkm file, even Pokemon or otherwise, HyperGTS does that. Read about it here: http://projectpokemon.org/forums/showthread.php?11627-Competitive-Pokemon-GTS-Distribution-Thread

You can modify the wondercards and share wondercards over local DS-to-DS wireless.

I've been look up on how to do something similar to this too. The hyperGTS only lets you distribute it to yourself. Do you know of a way to distribute it to multiple people at the same time like Nintendo?
