I decided to try something more complicated this time, building on what you guys have told me so far.

Is it legal? Do the IVs/nature/PID/TID/SID and everything else look 100% perfect? No 99.9% stuff

did ya check the IDs? That is a valid method K PID, everything looks fine also.

So long as the IDs are good, you are good to go. If you didnt use pandora's to find valid IDs, just stick D94ABB52 in there and search for a normal 3000-11000 for shiny IDs

Hm, I got this as a valid method 1 PID (since Legendary birds are Method 1). I also was under the impression that Zapdos had to be frame 1 or frame 6, since that is how it would be generated...

Got that impression from here.

I see alot of "Method 1/J/K"... how synonymous are the three methods?

And yes, I did use pandora through a lot of trial and error... wasn't even deliberately looking for a shiny, just a modest with good stats on frame 1.

heya, thats not necessarily true for all games, and you don't need to worry about the frames too much

just that it has the wrong encounter type

The HGSS Zapdos should have an encounter type 0 (egg etc), not tall grass. It's just that way
