New to Pokesav, hit a snag

Thanks in advance for the help.

I have just recently figured out how to work Pokesav and Legality (yay) but cannot get my first pokemon AR code to create the pokemon it is supposed to. I copied the AR code from Pokesav to my AR but when I press L+R nothing happens. I tried having a trash pokemon and no pokemon in the party slot I wish to have the new pokemon in. I'm using ARDSi and SS.
