It disguises itself as a tree to avoid attack. It hates water, so it will disappear if it starts raining.
In Pokémon HeartGold & SoulSilver, once the player defeats Goldenrod City Gym Leader Whitney,
the player may obtain the SquirtBottle from the Goldenrod City Flower Shop in order to break Sudowoodo's disguise and clear the path.
