JP Birthday Pikachu (Birthday First Round)

This is the first round of Birthday Events for Generation VIII, and it was distributed to players who went to Pokemon Center stores in Japan (thus JP in the title)
during the duration of their birthday month.

Identification would have to be presented upon redemption, and travelers can do so by showing their passport.

Starting February 12, 2020, the JP Birthday distributed as static PID of 06080E2F.
(Before, the PID was random, but unable to be shiny).

Wild Area Event #6: Gigantamax Milcery

This is a wild area event held by Sword and Shield. This event raid allows players to get a chance of Milcery with the Gigantamax icon.
This is the first time, that the Ribbon and Star Sweets were made available. This means that any Alcremie of any flavor and decoration that evolved from this Milcery would be capable of Gigantamaxing.

Coalossal and Flapple were Sword exclusive raids, and Lapras and Appletun were Shield exclusive raids.
Though it is important to note, that the host can invite players of the opposite version to join in the raids.
While the Milcery event was reported to run from January 31st, 2020 to February 16th, 2020,
it was reported the Flapple, Appletun, Coalossal and Lapras will rotate out on February 6th, 2020.
So chances are, this Wild Area Event will run from January 31st, 2020 to February 6th, 2020.

World Hobby Fair '20 Winter - Gigantamax Lapras

At the Next Generation World Hobby Fair '20 Winter, players get to experience Max Raid Battles at a "Max Raid Battle Experience Corner".
When a player challenges Gigantamax Coalossal at that corner, they're given a serial code to receive a Gigantamax Coalossal.
When a player challenges Gigantamax Lapras at that corner, they're given a serial code to receive a Gigantamax Lapras.

The official Japanese website claims it is possible to experience it without a Nintendo Switch or the game software. It is unclear if such players would receive a serial code.

This gift was distributed to players via a code card for purchasing the dual pack for the Pokémon Sword & Shield.
Using the Dynamax Crystal would allow the Pokémon to appear at the Watchtower Lair's Den as a max raid.

To be able to use the items associated with the event, including injecting items into the save and getting it to work,
the player's Switch must be connected to the internet, with the Mystery Gift>Get Wild Area News option used during the event period.
Alternatively the player must have connected to the internet and redeemed a Mystery Gift during the event period.
As of LGPE, wonder cards are no longer stored in saves. As such, players will not be able to inject this event into their save using PKHeX.

Wild Area Event #5: Coalossal, Lapras, Flapple, Appletun

This is a wild area event held by Sword and Shield. Despite publicizing that Gigantamax variants for Coalossal, Lapras, Flapple and Appletun were to be more easily available, this event also allowed encounters for the Gigantamax variants for Alcremie.
For base game Pokémon Sword and Shield, without this event, there is no den that will enable players to encounter a non-Vanilla flavored Gigantamax Alcremie.

Coalossal and Flapple were Sword exclusive raids, and Lapras and Appletun were Shield exclusive raids.
Some non-Vanilla forms were also version exclusive, as seen below:

Wild Area Event #2: Snorlax

This wild area event held by Sword and Shield. It made Gigantamax Snorlax the focus of the event.
For base game Pokémon Sword and Shield, without this event, there is no den that will enable players to encounter a Gigantamax Snorlax.

As per the previous events, Drednaw and Sandaconda were Sword exclusive raids, and Corviknight and Centiskorch were Shield exclusive raids. Butterfree and Snorlax can be obtained regardless of game.
Though it is important to note, host can include players of the opposite version to join in the raids.
This event ran globally from December 4th, 2019 to January 9th, 2020.
The running of this event was interrupted twice in favor of other events:
#3 Christmas 2019 (Index 03 and Index 04)
#5 New Years 2020 (Index 06)

Wild Area Event #54: Alolan Starters

This is a Wild Area event held by Sword and Shield. This event gives players a chance to capture the Alolan Starters.
An interesting note, is you could try to catch them with other types of Poké Balls, which couldn't be done previously.
Only the files normal_encount, normal_encount_rigel1, normal_encount_rigel2, and dai_encount were updated to Index 87.

Ash's Team - サトシ Dracovish

This event has been made available with serial code GANJ 0UAG 0882, announced during the Pokémon anime TV broadcast in Japan.
The wonder card was incorrectly programmed as Male. However despite this oversight, when received legtimately in-game, it would be correctly genderless.
If users were to use PKHeX to create one, they should instead drag in the Gender fixed for PKHeX usage file instead.

Ash Original Cap Pikachu

This event was announced during the Crown Tundra premiere. Starting from September 29th 2020, this Pikachu can be redeemed with the code P1KACHUGET. This event will be followed by the other Hat Pikachus.

This is a Wild Area event held by Sword and Shield.
