Information about positions: I'm going to need quite a few trainer sprites to replace the Gym Leaders, Elite Four, and Red (among others); I realize that's a bit of a tall order but I'm not really that good at sprite work and I've tried DeviantArt without much success, sorry to say. It would also help if I had someone to help co-write the script of the new plot. I'd like to think I'm a really great writer (I did write all the lore and character bios for my own series, and the first 9 episodes of a reboot--available upon request, if you need them to get a better understanding of the characters and such) but I've never actually written out an entire video game script and I'm having some difficulty figuring out where to go. Finally, it'd really help if I could get at least one person on board to help tweak the game like switching Gym exteriors, coming up with new designs for some of the Gyms, and, since I kinda toyed around with the Pokemon, I also need to create a brand-new Fakemon to keep the original 151 mostly in line since I made Nidoran one Pokemon and made this new one to fill the gap after Nidoqueen. I know this might seem a bit esoteric, but just bare with me here. I want to make a ROM hack of HeartGold/SoulSilver that serves as a crossover with my own series the Sanchez Chronicles. The new plot is that, sometime between Red becoming the Pokemon Champion at the end of the original Red/Blue (or FireRed/LeafGreen, since this is the remakes we're talking), the Sanchez Clan and their forces invaded and effectively took over the world by stealing all the Legendary Pokemon (if you remember in a lot of the movies how Legendaries like Celebi or the Legendary Birds being captured kinda throws things out of balance and stuff...yeah, multiply that by the amount of Legendary Pokemon in Gen4). The player character, Oliver or Holly--or whatever you decide to name them, has moved to the Sanchez-occupied Johto region with your Dad (or Mom, I'm not sure if I want to do this with both games but if I do I want to have small things like that like how Ruby and Sapphire had you fighting Team Magma or Team Aqua respectively) and encounter The Writer, a man who effectively relinquished his own identity, who gives you your starter and the task of assembling information about the Sanchez clan, recapturing all the Legendary Pokemon, and restoring balance. However, there's a rumor being spread about how you can become a Sanchez and receive all the wealth, power, and freedom it comes with by a recommendation from an active member or simply making their leader King Zander Sanchez happy...and what better way to satisfy him then bringing down the kid trying to uproot his regime? alright, so i know this is one of those annoying hacks like a RS remake that never gets completed, now, its reasonable if you skip this, but its fair, the types of hacks are in progress all the time, and never finished, but my friend is pretty much working on a sprite hack, where you play as ORAS Brendan, he should finish it around mid September maybe, and i plan to edit the title screen also, but i seen a tutorial on how to, seems to hard so i might leave it untouched, and i will be editing the wild Pokemon, starters, and the gym leaders will remain the same, unless someone wants to take that off of my hands cause i can't do it, like its to, confusing, and this is in the DEVELOPMENT stage, like not even close to beta relese, he will link me to HIS rom site, (no i will not give it out, i will be turning it into either a ups/xDelta patch) and if he says no on whether if i can use him game or no, i guess it will mean that it will be developed quicker and i forgot, i can edit the Pokemon, so i'll try my best to TRY and implicate a mega evo- mechanic, but it might be glitchy, so don't complain, and there will be easter eggs about wars, and other poke'theorys, like the kanto war, and other stuff, so i might implicate it into the story, and i forgot to mention, THIS IS NOT a remake, its like a sequel, and also we're open to positions, what COULD be needed 1. (I'm going to stop doing it like this I'm better writing stories then you might get the picture) "'INSERT NAME HERE' i think these are last of the boxes.) says mum. "OK I'm on my way" You say. You walk up stairs to see Conkeldurr's and machamp's moving the furniture around . "Ah hello 'INSERT NAME HERE' does the house look wonderful now we've moved in" says your mum. "Yes it does. But it'll take time to get used to" says you. "Well why don't you go and find 'Rival name here' he moved with us don't you forget" says your mum. "Ah yes OK mother" you say. so you go find your rival find that he is not in his house so you look around and find him in front of the first route to find him getting attacked by pokemon. The pokemon professor runs up and says " You need to save him here i was going to give you these later but it seems that you need them a bit earlier than I thought... Well what are you waiting for!" You go up to a blue metallic box with a pokemon ball on the front . You open it and can choose from 3 pokemon Torchick, Oshawatt, Turtwig. You pick one save your Rival. Then go adventuring and basically there is not much more to explain right now . Now down to who i need and for what job. I need 2 other people who can 3d model with 3ds max or any really its just a bit easier when it is 3ds max. I need as many coders as possible there will be a system to stop 2 guys working on the same thing . I need 1 or 2 artists . And i need one of the coders to be secondary lead of development who will mostly keep an eye on the coding side of things where ill be working with the maps teams. This is my first time making a hack and to be perfectly honest i have almost no idea what i'm doing. That is why i am assembling a team to get this done. Here is my idea, Pokemon: Magikarp Version. Our hero is a young magikarp ready to begin his journey as a magikarp trainer. All the pokemon are magikarp hybrids and all the people are magikarp. it should be a fairly simple hack to make compared to light platinum and others like that. How much help do i need? Well, all of it. I would love to get into hacking but i need someone to help me through my first hack. Come on, we were all noobs once, help a noob out. Hey there, everyone. Now that I've become very experienced in my personal choice of hack-class, I would like to open a thread promoting a new hack idea of mine. Pokémon Opal: Long ago, before even the creation of the Hoenn or Kanto regions, two Pokémon appeared at open sea. These two Pokémon, who were able to fly, used the power of the Aurora to create a large island. This island, now named Uora, is now colonized by humans and contains Pokémon from all around the world. It is said that the two Pokémon who created the island, Latios and Latias, still guard the island from under the waves. I am using a clean U.S FireRed for this hack. I am also using the FireRed Hacked Engine, obtainable on the Pokécommunity Forums. My biggest problem, though, is that I don't script very well and am very, very bad at spriting. I could also use someone who understands Free Space and all of the behaviour bytes, because I can edit maps, text, and the like, but don't know how to use UNlz or the free space finder.
