If you want the rental pokemon to look legit, just use PKHeX and set level and met level to 50, origin game and met location to none, ball to pokeball, and OT to PKTOPIA.

Maybe I'll find the offsets for save files 2, 3 and 4....if I have time and someone really really needs it....

So i have my complete PBR savefile and want to use it on my japanese version. but upon trying to use the save on the japanese version it just wont stick, is there anyway of changing some code on this file so it will work? Thanks

need a little help with this stadium file, trying to write it onto my genuine pal stadium cart but when i write it and then try edit the file straight of the cart it corrupts the file, let me know what you think?

I think i have a dead battery in my main cart. so just started a brand new save and dumped it and it wont work in pkhex so must be a dead battery. thanks for the help guys!

The format your cart reader uses might not match either the one you got or the one @theSLAYER provided when he fixed the file so it could open in PKHeX. Try playing the game for a bit, saving, confirming it's working (so we know it's not a dead battery, for example) then dumping the save file and sending us the dump. We can then compare it to that save and see if something's wrong

so this is my own save file, i played from the start on vba emulator. the original file i could open in pkhex

Besides manually doing that, there’s also probably converters online that would do it for you. Look for it.

yeah im pretty clueless when it comes to hex editors. erm what converter should i be looking for?

I reckon you’re gonna have to write back the extra strings of data before you can send it back to your cart.

it's just that there's extra data at the end of the save (as per the image I showed).

In this case, open the save in HxD (or any other hex editing program), delete data from 0x8000 onwards (the highlighted portion in the image).

You could also just download the sav file I attached.

ah thats weird im dumping the save you provided onto the cart and still saying new game. im using joey jr is this the problem?

sorry i am noob at this stuff, what do i have to do to make it dump correctly?

So I am trying to dump this save file onto my Japanese gold version but it isn't happening, also saw the save is 1kb over the standard save size so not sure if something has gone wrong. Any ideas?

I was wondering how I can change the game file of my red version to a yellow version save file. like not just dumping the save on a yellow version game and then just thinking it's an actual yellow save. 

It's also the same with GSC, how can I change the file of my gold save so it is recognized as a crystal save file? 

the other problem I have is changing the language of a save file. I am wanting to change an English save file from either gen 1 or 2 and then make them Japanese.

this probably isn't clear but I hope someone understands and can help me. Thanks!

so I have edited my English save to work on the Japanese version of colosseum but it wont work on the game. I've tried many things but no luck. the save is linked bellow. (I tried changing the file name with the J but it didn't seem to help)

so im trying to edit my save and im using gx save game manager and it wont let me extract the save to my sd and also wont let me install a new save to the wii itself, does anyone know what to do in this situation 

so on my save, I use wiimmfi on battle rev on dolphin and on my Wii, it never lets me online, it gives me an error message, but when I use a different slot save it lets me online, can anyone look at my save and my slot 1 (Wheeler) and see if there's anything I can do to get onto online with that slot, Thanks

so I want to use my English fire red save on my Japanese copy but it wont work, not sure why because my emerald, ruby and sapphire work fine on the Japanese copies but fr and lg don't, can someone help me?

i also have this save file from my brothers yellow version from the late 90s and when i open it onto an emulator it just says new game, it also has the unsupported file size, could you please take a look at this? : )
