So I started a fresh Pokemon Shield game and on the way to the Professor's house, I saved and went to gen some pokemon in. I also added items/completed the pokedex. When I restored the save with Checkpoint, I had all of the items I injected and my pokedex was complete, but the pokemon I genned were not there. Funnily enough, they were all shinies and my Pokedex has Shiny entries for said pokemon, but they are gone. Also, when I loaded the save back into PkHex, the pokemon were not there.
Wondering if this happened because I was still technically in the tutorial. I had pokeballs and had accessed the PC etc so I figured I'd be allowed to add pokemon in at that point. I spent about an hour and a half genning and didn't have time to try again. I'll be able to try again later today but figured in the interim I would post about it here and get some thoughts on the matter. Any help would be appreciated.
