<p><p><p><p><p>Nah, there was always one God. People started defecting from that one God and made their own idols. For example, Shang-Di was the one God that the Chinese worshiped from long ago. The Emperor would always make annual offering to the Heavenly Emperor Shang Di. But like any other groups of people, they started forgetting about the one God that they worshiped and began worshiping their own gods which they made. Are those figures made up? Possibly... but I believe they're lesser "gods", well, not gods, because there can only be one absolute, which is... God. Those polytheistic gods are fallen angels masquerading as gods of some sort, because after all, angels are supernatural beings as well, so they may have aspects that seem oh-so-divine or else they would have no reason to believe in them. Their task? To try to divert the people from the real God, and scarily, they're succeeding.</p></p></p></p></p>
