Thanks for checking into the Bagon, theSLAYER. Most likely my memory of chaining it could be wrong due to just how long ago that was, like 7 years iirc. I am probably going to pick up a cartridge and spend the time to look into it deeper, mostly because I do not want to be the one spreading around bad information...

I was using Serebii as a source for Bagon, https://www.serebii.net/pokedex-dp/location/371.shtml#platinum However I don't have an actual platinum cartridge to check on it anymore. As for Basculin, it also only is for the Blue Striped form, as the red stripe does call for help. I could do a recording from my phone of it later, however until then here is a link to another with the same issue. Thanks for the fast reply!

Hello, I was looking into my shinies, and noticed this one in particular was flagged as Illegal in PKHeX. Specifically, the error is: Invalid: Unable to match an encounter from origin game. Valid: Geolocation: Country is in 3DS region. === Encounter Type: Invalid (Bagon) Origin Seed: 29A378BD PID Type: Method_1 This Bagon in particular was chained in Platinum, Route 210 - North, and has not gained any exp since. However, I've gotten conflicting reports as to if method 1 is valid for chained shinies. As for Blue Striped Basculin, is it intentional for PKHeX to allow you to set the original game as Ultra Moon, with its hidden ability (and at least 2 IVs to 31), even though it cannot call for help.
