So you could still battle with a friend online or use wondertrade or gts?

I have 2 questions regarding not the bans. 1 what services does it prevent i.e. What all can one do online with the ban, gts, WT, battle with buddy? 2-Does using the mon's in a competition trigger this or is it any online service i.e. If I battle with buddy can that trigger the ban
