  1. My Powersaves 3DS arrived today but unfortunately it doesn't work with my X cartridge. I insert my cartridge and it tries to download the information required on my game but then comes back to the "Insert your cartridge" screen and goes on and on like this. Kinda feel like I've wasted my money...

EDIT: I've fixed the problem, now I have my powersaves 3DS working and I have my sav files. If you want I can upload them.

  2. Perfectly working now! I'd like to ask something about the met location. How do insert the correct met location since it's not expressed in names but in numbers. Do you have a list with numbers corresponding to the location?

  3. When you do, make one save backup, change something small (maybe use an item or change only the money), and make another backup. Comparing the two should show if the saves are stored encrypted. If they are, it will be easier said than done to make a save editor. If they aren't, then the PowerSaves 3DS just gained great potential to allow 3rd party save editors.

I'll first backup my sav file as it is. Then I'll try to modify something like you said and then I'll make another backup. So I should have, one backup without changes, one backup with changes, right?

  4. I sent Datel an email two weeks ago asking if this (well, something more generic) would be possible, and another a week ago in case the first was sent to their junk mail, and they've ignored me both times.

Well, I've ordered a Powersaves 3DS today and I think I'll be receiving it somewhere between tomorrow and Monday so I'm probably going to test it myself and let you know about it :)

  5. Well, considered that this game offers us much more catchable pokemons, I'd like to have some advices on the in game team you're using. I went for Oshwatt, then caught a Mareep and a Venipede. Until now I didn't encounter much of a problem (except for the poison gym that caused me some troubles). I would have liked to catch a normal/flying pokemon such as Pidgey or Starly or Spearow but up to now (4th badge) I didn't have the occasion to do so. Which team are you using and are you satisfied?

  6. Any Pokemon have their strengths and weaknesses, and Reshiram and Zekrom are both miles apart from regular Pokemon. Maybe you're leaving them into a Draco Meteor from Salamence and you're wondering why none of them can survive it... they are rather unfair actually and are banned from standard play. You may want to learn a bit about competitive battling to know more about it. That being said, just because they're stronger than your average Pokemon doesn't mean they're invincible.

In-game, you'd probably be able to solo everyone with just one of either one... just don't put all electric attacks on Zekrom or you're at the mercy of something like Drilbur...

Yeah, actually I'm also learning more about the modern gameplay, consider that last game I played was Pokemon Gold before black and white.

  7. In no way does "Legendary Pokemon" ever meant to be "cannot be defeated easily". All a Legendary Pokemon is is one that is defined as such by GameFreak, Nintendo, etc... All the fan-made rules of what constitutes a Legendary Pokemon often are invalid a generation or two later (The Kanto Bird trio aren't tied into the plot of any game, Latios/Latias/Heatran all have genders, Shaymin can have two different abilities, the Golem trio have a non-Pressure ability, etc...).

Typically, Legendary Pokemon are challenging to catch in-game, if they're able to be encountered. But what happens in-game in the Gyms and E4 challenge is a different environment than what happens on a battle simulator.

Yes, but I'd like them to more "unfair" and with unfair I intend able to sweep out half of the teams present in the game. And I don't see Reshiram or Zekrom able to do so, or maybe I simply cannot use them properly.

  8. I'd like to thank the creator of this site because it represents all the desires I had when I was young child playing pokemons. Even if I'm 22 right now, this site is making me come back at the age of 11/12. Real good site/forum, keep it up, I'll try to stay active as much as I can.

  9. The only thing that pisses me off about legendaries is the fact that they sometmes turn out be average pokemons. They are supposed to be LEGENDARIES, pokemons that cannot be defeated so easily or that suffer fightning against many others. Don't know if you think so but that what pisses me off all the time!

Btw, back in topic. From the Kyurem's images you've posted it looks like a fusion between Reshiram and Zekrom with Kyurem's face. Not that bad speaking in therms of estethics, I sincerely hope this'll be a good pokemon in therms of statistics and attack pool.

  10. I think this game mostly fit with the anime at that time. Think of it: Pikachu refusing the stone in order to evolve reflected the will of Ash's Pikachu not to evolve in order to defeat Lt Surge and his Raichu. Alakazam was a hell of a pokemon when Sabrina showed up (I can still remember my poker face when Mewtwo easily curved Alakazam's spoon in the movie). The metagame was ugly compared to those of today's pokemon games, not to speak of the fact you couldn't assign an instrument (hours to open the bike), and pokemons weren't catchable if the box in the pc was full. Unfortunately I discovered it myself when I was catching Mewtwo.

Plus: the Kanto region was poor, not so difficult to explore and not so damn wide as Unova may be or Kanto+Johto in G/S/C wich (in my opinion) are the best games ever published by Game Freak for the Pokemon series.

You could catch Bulbasaur, Charmender and Squirtle (not that bad) and you could catch Mew (not that DAMN bad). Btw yellow was way better than R/G/B but GSC kidnapped my heart. Probably because I was in the right age and probably because it was a bi step up from the previous chapters.

  11. Not exactly thread related; but it's having a little bit of issues as of late. Always check back in a few minutes if you can't connect.

Also, level matches threshold means current exp exactly matches the level threshold for what level it is currently at.

I'm sorry if I was not thread related but I had issues and I thought this was the right place to post. Sorry again, I'll try not to do the same mistake again :)

  12. I think my firts shiny was a Raticate I found in Pokèmon Gold back in 1999 I think. I found it outside the place where Zapdos is (sorry but I can't remember the english name of the place :D). I was 9 at that time and I thought it was somehow "mutated" by the electricity of the zone. Then red Gyarados came but me and my friend knew it was a shiny pokèmon 2 or 3 years later.
