so i can't possibly recover my file? I wanna know what the problem is because pokesav can read my sav file and so can pokegen but just not the r4

Hi, I pokesav'd a pokemon white 2 sav.file and it was corrupt when i put it back into my r4 wood. The sav file can be viewed in pokesav but it won't play in the game. I knew i shouldn't have messed around with the pokemon b/w pokesav for pokemon white 2. Is there any way i can restore it back so that i can play it on my ds? Thanks for your time.
