<p><p><p><p><p><p>So, if you look at Bulbasaurs file, and go to x9, we need three numbers. x9, xA, and xB.</p></p></p></p></p></p>
<p><p><p><p><p><p>x9 shows 01 or 00000001 in binary. xA is 00, 00000000 in binary. xB is 01, again, 00000001 in binary.</p></p></p></p></p></p>

<p><p><p><p><p><p>On the first one, we just need the last two numbers. They tell us how many EVs he yields.</p></p></p></p></p></p>
<p><p><p><p><p><p>The second one holds 4 EVs: HP, Attack, Defense, and Speed. They go from right to left, and they are two numbers each.</p></p></p></p></p></p>
<p><p><p><p><p><p>The third one holds 2 EVs: Sp. Attack and Sp. Defense. Again, they go from right to left, two numbers each.</p></p></p></p></p></p>
<p><p><p><p><p><p>We see there is a 1 in the last two numbers, so we know that Bulbasaur only gives one Sp. Attack EV.</p></p></p></p></p></p>
