  2. I guess it can't really be called a hyper "offense" (I'm canadian I follow the british spelling) team. That's for the review, it's rare to get a legimate good review.

    - I'll replace Ice Beam with Grass Know on my Empoleon

    - I'll try to squeeze a priority move in, on infernape maybe?

    - I'll contemplate making Gengar choiced.

    - Though my Jolteon helps greatly, the way he plays stops my team wrong being truly called "hyper offence" I might spec him.

  3. I'm used to switching defensive standard teams, with good synergy.

But I thought I'd make a hyper offensive team base on Kamikazing.

All at the same time playing at my pace not the opponents.

    Azelf @ Focus Sash

    Info: Suicide Lead

    Ability: Levitate

    EVs: 6 HP/252 Spd/252 SAtk

    Timid nature (+Spd, -Atk)

    - Stealth Rock

    - Explosion

    - Psychic

    - Fire Blast

Info: Standard lame lead but it gets the Job done, why I would use this lead is for it's explosion, to keep the pace fast.

    ---

    Jolteon (M) @ Leftovers

    Info: Sub Passer Sponge

    Ability: Volt Absorb

    EVs: 252 Spd/252 SAtk/4 SDef

    Timid nature (+Spd, -Atk)

    - Thunderbolt

    - Substitute

    - Baton Pass

    - Hidden Power [ice]

Info: The first part of my amazing Duo. It also sub passes everyone, in which everyone here can benefit from it. Despite fragile defenses it's longevity is top notch, surviving many attacks because of Substitute, volt absorb, leftovers and high speed.

    ---

    Gyarados (M) @ Leftovers

    Role: Physical Sweeper

    Ability: Intimidate

    EVs: 4 HP/252 Atk/252 Spd

    Adamant nature (+Atk, -SAtk)

    - Dragon Dance

    - Bounce

    - Earthquake

    - Waterfall

Info: The Second part of my amazing Duo, both are immune to each others main weaknesses. If everything goes off right for me, Jolteon with a Sub... baton passes to Gyarados and dodges an deadly earthquake. Then I dragon dance till my sub dies.

    ---

    Empoleon (M) @ Petaya Berry

    Ability: Torrent

    Role: Special Sweeper

    EVs: 12 HP/12 Def/234 Spd/252 SAtk

    Modest nature (+SAtk, -Atk)

    - Agility

    - Substitute

    - Hydro Pump

    - Ice Beam

Info: My favorite pokemon and the strongest sweeper (Imo), standard set for it, this thing wreck absolute havoc when fully set up, and setting it up isn't that hard. Doing 40% with hydro pump to a blissey once is a testament to it's strength.

    ---

    Gengar (M) @ Expert Belt

    Role: Suicider

    Ability: Levitate

    EVs: 4 Atk/252 Spd/252 SAtk

    Hasty nature (+Spd, -Def)

    - Shadow Ball

    - Focus Blast

    - Thunderbolt

    - Explosion

Info: My designated suicider, I explode on whichever pokemon I think might cause me trouble.. SB, FB and TB for good coverage.

    ---

    Infernape (M) @ Life Orb

    Role: Wall Breaker

    Ability: Blaze

    EVs: 4 HP/252 Spd/252 SAtk

    Hasty nature (+Spd, -Def)

    - Fire Blast

    - Grass Knot

    - Nasty Plot

    - Close Combat

Info: The trump card under my sleeve. I fall prey to blissey, skarmory, gliscor, hippodon etc. As long as my opponent has blissey it unlocks this pokemons hidden potential. I switch to Infernape, the blissey often runs away to it's defensive wall counterpart. That's when I nasty plot and my opponent realizes he got trapped. Sometimes he switches back to blissey only to get 1HKO from close Combat.

    ---

This team is suicidal, attacking until it dies. Bringing on the next counter until it dies as well. Baton Passing helps them set up, as my pokemon just need one free turn to set up.

Alot of this sets are standard but the way I play them is different.

  4. Shaymin-s is banned from OU because it's too good. Serene Grace air slash finch haxs, high speed and high special attack, plus the deadly seed flare (80% chance to lower special defence), which ruins special walls.. That's uber caliber... or at least it's too good for OU.

  5. I like it, it's a vast improvement upon.. err nothing xDD

Here's my advice on your team.

    Spr_4p_437.png

    Bronzong@Damp Rock

    Nature: Sassy

    Ability: Levitate

    EVs: HP 200, Def 80, SpDef 228

    - Gyro ball

    - Rain dance

    - Explosion

    - Stealth rock

Wall lead, his work is set up rain dance but its gyroball can still be very harmful. Dunno which other moves can fit this one, but they are not that important since i should probably switch Bronzong out as soon as possible (after setting rain dance).

    Spr_4h_230.png

    Kingdra@Wise Glasses/Scope Lens

    Nature: Modest

    Ability: Swift Swim

    EVs: HP 84, Def 88, SpAtk 252, SpDef 84 (maybe Def 128, SpAtk 252, SpDef 128)

    - Surf/Hydro Pump

    - Draco Meteor/Dragon Pulse

    - Ice Beam

    - Waterfall

This special sweeper version of kingdra should be difficult to knock down. There's no speed EVs since Swift Swim with 31 IV speed should work well. Still i'm not convinced, maybe it should still keep some physical move and remove the modest nature ancd change EVs for a less defensive version...

ahhh the almighty Kingdra in the rain, signal beam isn't that strong so I suggest waterfall, it's a physical attack which will allow kingdra to defeat special walls as well. I agree with your comments as well, Kingdra is a hyper offensive pokemon, and wen I sucessfully get him out in the rain I can KO 2-6 Pokemon (I use a double dance set)

    Spr_4p_466_s.png

    Electivire@Life Orb/Muscle Band

    Nature: Naughty

    EVs: Atk 252, SpAtk 4, Spd 252 (maybe 228, 80, 200)

    - Thunder/Thunder Punch

    - Earthquake

    - Brick Break/Thunder Punch

    - Ice Punch

I really like this one, kinda tricky. My only doubt is for thunder, that still has 120 power with no miss chance (due to rain) even if it is a special move...

hmmm I like this set perfect, I agree with Tbird throw some special attack Evs into him to make your thunder more menacing. I would suggest Cross chop unless you have a tendency to have really bad luck, Cross Chop deals way more damage and changes 2HKOs into 1HKOs

    Spr_4h_212_m.png

    Scizor@?

    Nature: Adamant

    Ability: Tecnician

    EVs: HP 128, Atk 252, SpDef 128 (maybe Atk 252, SpDef 128, Spd 128 o even Atk 252, SpDef 4, Spd 252)

    - Bug bite

    - Iron head

    - Aerial ace

    - U-Turn/Defog/Rain Dance

phisical sweeper and counter for tyranitar, abomasnow and hippodown

I would change this to the Standard CB scizor like Tbird suggested, much more effective.

    Spr_3f_139.png

    Omastar@?

    Nature: Modest

    Ability: Swift Swim

    EVs: Def 128, SpAtk 252, Spd 128

    - Surf/Hydro Pump

    - Ancient power

    - Ice beam/?

    - ?

another special sweeper but has a moveset too similar to kingdra's one... maybe i should chose another pkm

Your Kingdra fills the role of special rain dance sweeper. I agree with your comments opt for a physical rain dance sweeper, in any case, Kabutops fills this role the best. I'd go with Tbirds set.

    Spr_4d_385.png

    Jirachi@Damp Rock

    Nature: ?

    EVs: ?

    - Rain dance

    - Wish

    - U-Turn

    - Waterpulse/Thunder

    second rain dance set up

Here's a effective back up Jirachi

Rain Dance of course. Wish and U-turn work extremely well together, damaging your opponent and healing your pokemon. Your sweepers have no healing choices so wish support is almost necessary.

Water Pulse or Thunder it's up to you. Water Pulse does 90 due to rain dance. Thunder doesn't miss.

I like it, if you have good prediction you need not to worry about your electric weaknesses, because of electrive. He turns a your weakness into a strength.

Honestly most rain dance teams are often limited to limited choices because of how niche it is and are the same. I'd say after taking in my advice and Tbirds, it's hard to improve upon it.

Seems quite good, but i see few weaknesses to electric moves, and i got the feeling this team gets not much benefits from rain... any advice would be appreciated

  6. It's good, way better than your last team =)

You have a huge fire weakness even with your gyarados though.

I suggest a heatran to prevent a quick death.

I'd replace it for your Cresselia as she get's eaten by the common pursuit from a Tyranitar or Scizor.

I think your team has good synergy though well done.

  7. It's OU btw (Overused) or UU if that's what you meant. (Under used)

Rain teams tend to be hyper offensive teams and even with just eight rain turns it can still be highly effective.

    1. Your lead, will need damp rock. And will need to be able speedily set up rain dance or be able to take hits to set up rain dance, examples would be azelf and bronzong. Or you could use a pokemon who can benefit from rain dance, Jirachi can set up rain dance and use thunder.

    2. You need a few sweepers with have the ability swift swim. The mighty Kingdra is often the best choice, outspeeding and using power special and physical water attacks, setting off draco meteor and even pumping it's power further with dragon dance. Other sweepers include Ludicolo and Kabutops, omastar and qwilfish.

    3. You need a back up rain dancer, so if your lead falls you and rinse and repeat the rain dance.

    4. You need a back bone pokemon, for example rain dance teams tend to have many water pokemon for obvious reasons, and due to this they will have many electric weaknessnes, Jolteon, Electrive or Swampert to all sponge electric damage. Weather negaters like Tyranitar and Abomasnow could ruin your rain dance, you might want pokemon that could counter them, Scizor and Infernape are examples (Though infernape is at a disavantage in the rain)

Simply set up rain dance and bring out sweepers to sweep. That's the basic concept of a rain dance team. Moves like dry skin and rain dish are gimmicky because they are meant for stalling, but rain dance only last a maximum of 8 turns so it limits it's usefulness.

Hope this helps and good luck!

  8. I would suggest using a different choice scarf pokemon.

Scraftran is a revenge killer, and it a solid choice for teams with fire weaknesses.

But your team resist fire extremely well.

Another thing is this team is in the rain, causing Heatrans main stab move to not as effective.

I also suggest using damp rock on either azelf or brongzong and give them damp rock.

They both use rain dance effectively and damp rock increases the duration to 8 turns.

    hope this helps =)

  9. hmmm cool time to put pictures!!

actually your rite, celebi and Roserade attacks are too identical.

I'm gonna replace celebi with gliscor, it's in sandstorm anyways.

But that makes heatran not as important with the lack of fire weaknesses.

I might replace him as well, I'm thinking vapoureon.

  10. Nice team, a stealth rock could help your late game sweeper Ambipom big time though.

    I'll think of some threats

Aerodactyl - He can be problem as a lead if your sleep powder misses, your rotom is the answer for him, but your other pokemon will have trouble with him.

Swampert - If your roserade is gone, you will have troubles with this bad boy, scarfhera can't beat it 1on1. Your best bet is your gyarados.

Gengar - He can be a big issue for you, with his unpredictability and many equally effective sets. Becareful for sludge bomb and C. scarf variants.

Empoleon - Fear the subpetaya variants, the ones with grass knot with be a big problem for you.

Latias - Calm mind with either lum berry or substitute is piss you off. I don't think gyarados with wacan berry, SR damage can survive a 1cm thunderbolt.

good luck on your team, I like the team, it's very creative yet good enough to play standard OU.

Btw I'm stealing your Ambipom set =)

  11. lol oh man...

It's legal, smogon lets me play it, smogon and PP is the only place I play this team.

I have never got an ingame complaint about it.

    Furthermore...

It's barely a factor in my matches, it's the gimmicky pokemon on my team.

Considering it "cheap" is almost retarded due to the fact it's no game changer.

Anyways, this team is already rated.

It's only causing us to flame each other could you lock this?

    thanks.

  12. One thing that could improve your Weavile is to add Swords Dance and replace Ice Shard with Ice Punch. My Weavile is a little similar to yours. I can't remember what nature it was, but it might be the same.

My weavile has Ice Punch, Swords Dance, Night Slash, Brick Break. Just one Swords Dance is Lethal. I have the same EV spread as yours. My Weavile is a Physical Sweeper though.

Nah I'd say Weaville with ice shard is needed.

It's one of the main advantages over other speedy sweepers.

And it's a sureshot way to end a DD Salamence (If it doesn't have Yache Berry)

  13. I completely understand where your coming from assasin.

    This team looks retarded.

It plays retarded too, looking at the movesets are making me laugh.

I would think the same way and I expected it to play like crap.

But I've played with it over a hundred times with countless logs.

The fact I have a winnning ratio (around 60%) proves this team is no gimmick.

I'll explain to you this team more.

Smeagle is easly taunt raped. Yea Aero is always a problem for me, it's pretty much the thing that shuts it down, but even when I get taunted but the likes of an Aerodactyl, I still can endeavour and beat up for a 2HKO.

you make no sence in having a scarfed pokemon on a trick room team i dont care if it is for smeargle when smeargle goes down which will be in 2 to 3 turns if you are playing a good player you will still have tr up which will be you will be beating your own team dude. Trick Room is for Smeargle only that's true, it also contridicts with my two scarfed pokemon. That's why if Smeargle dies with trick room still in play I put snorlax in, it's like me feinting a trick room team.

you have no steel checker if your opponent kills your slaking it lacks a good check to ghost has no siczor coverage. Steels are problems yea, Scizor and luke get special mention, Usually I send my revenge killers after them, Togekiss has Aurasphere, Slaking has EQ and "Fire Punch" I meant to put fire punch.

your snoralax set is not good in the least yo need more than 1 attacking move. With 4 or more curses up even pokemon that 2X resist it will have trouble living, and there are no pokemon that x4 resist outrage, so there is nothing that can wall it (Maybe steelix but I've never seen a steelix

you are breaking a rule 2 focus sashes are not allowed so you need to find another item for ambipom silk scarf would be best since all you yous is actually normal moves on it. I play Ladder on smogon all the time it lets me

and blissey cant stall on a monotype team since they all share one weakness or are neutral to it is impossoble to wall pokes only types that can wall are water and flying . I never really use her for stall, he heals my pokemon and toxics, I think I should change her moveset as you have a point.

I intially made this team as a halarious gimmick but it's proving to be effective even on the smogon ladder. No one expects such a bull team to win, but it does.
