I killed them slowly, one group at a time... yet their remnants remain annoyingly. Hello Tbird, welcome Also thanks again for all the help you have given me with competitive gaming.

I am still working on the strategy (I am on Pokemon Online, and I am new to competitive battling) but here is some of it. Dialga will start with a few layers of Stealth Rock. The movesets have been worked so that I do not need to switch pokemon as much when my pokemon would not normally be as strong against an opponant (like ice). Fighting and other moves to take out tough normals like Blissey. Giratina to take out Arceus like threats. Kyurem would lure out such threats like Lucario. Actually let me talk to Tbird again, he helped me put the team together. I will give you a more detailed decription on my teams strategy as I can't remember all the details. Though I have played a few games with pokemon of similiar strength and it seem I am winning around half the time. I think I could do better I just need to get some more experiance in the competitive battling world.

[GUIDE] Basics to Competitive Battling
Theodore Daconus replied to wraith89's topic in Team Building Discussion
Thank you for the information and help, I will try Pokemon Online out. Also, I'm not sure if my character Theodore Daconus would like being call Teddy, because of his personality and mindset. Though you can call me that as I find the very idea of it funny. -
[GUIDE] Basics to Competitive Battling
Theodore Daconus replied to wraith89's topic in Team Building Discussion
Thanks for the link Waith, though to be honest a moveset of "Giga Drain/Solarbeam/Razor Leaf/Petal Dance" would be completely idiotic, even I know that. At least I understand I need to have a varied moveset that can work under many conditions. I also understand the importance of the corret nature and with the additional 'positive' increase matching up with the pokemon's stat strengths and moveset. Even items I can do okay in, though there are times I am unsure on such. My problems come with EVs as, which I do not understand their working of much as it has never been of great importance when playing the games as will as how it is a new mechanic in the last couple of generation games. Two, having everything complement and mix well with the rest of the team, which is why I had been asking for advice as will as possible changes yet still keeping the basic team idea, as in mindset I am still more of a ones on one battler and know with work one can play with one favorites (though I admit it is more difficult). That and I am far more of an attacker, with mostly a bit of defensive support. I'm not good at getting complicated with movesets and strategy. Heck I have not even actually had much of chance to battle real people. Understand what I am saying are my problems? I know the basics, but have never been able to let my battle strategy evolve nor practice in actual competitive battles. -
Balanced team for Diamond and Pearl
Theodore Daconus replied to Theodore Daconus's topic in Team Building Discussion
...You just pretty much suggested I scrap my whole team and do something completely different. I thank you for you help... but changing almost every single member of my team and almost everything else about the team is not exactly help I was looking for. I would like to keep the basic team and do what is needed to get the team to work. At the very least is there a way to keep Empolean, Infernape, and Torterra together as that was part of the point of my team? -
Balanced team for Diamond and Pearl
Theodore Daconus replied to Theodore Daconus's topic in Team Building Discussion
"If it's not for in game we're going to need to know the nature, Evs abilities and Items of all Pokemon, plus an explanation of why they're on the team." It is for both in game and as competitive battling. I updated my first post to add the natures and items, but I do not think I have the means to give you the EVs abilities. Can you give advice and help without EV information? I was looking for a hybrid team where none of the elements overlap being the main point. The tree starter because they make a very good trio together and the elements complement and support each other. Tyranitar, because his is a non legendary powerhouse that can be very useful. Altaria because of it defensive potential and I remember it had been difficult to take out in game. Froslass is something of the oddball because I have not had the chance to ever play with one. -
This is a team I would like to put together for Diamond and Pearl, tell me what you think. Empolean Item:Mystic Water Nature: Lonely Hydro Pump Drill Peck Steel Wing Iron Defense Infernape Item: Muscle Band Nature: Adamant Fire Blitz Acrobatics Bulk Up Close Combat Torterra Item: Big Root Nature: Gentle Giga Drain Earthquake Synthesis Crunch Tyranitar Item: Black Glasses Nature: Brave Stone Edge Giga Impact Dark Pulse Dragon Dance Altaria Item: Zoom Lenses Nature: Adamant Aerial Ace Dragon Rush Refresh Cotton Guard Froslass Item:Focus Sash Nature: Modest Blizzard Confuse Ray Captivate Ominous Wind

I have a few pokemon team ideas I am considering working on but I would like to get some advice before going through all the work and trouble of trying to make these teams ideas. If anyone is willing to help me I would be most grateful. Also, I understand that the teams have weakness. The help I want is how get get my teams to work, not why they can't work. Thank you Teams I would like to make: * An Eevee Evolution Team with focus on attack and secondary focus on defense and support (Could use suggestions on movesets). * A non legendary Steel Team where I could use suggestions on movesets and possible pokemon change (Team: Empoleon (Steel/Water), Metagross (Steel/Psychic), Steelix (Ground/Steel), Lucario (Steel/Fighting), Aggron (Rock/Steel), Magnezone (Steel/Electric)) * A Legendary Steel Team I could use suggestions on movesets. (Team: Dialga (Steel/Dragon, Heatran (Fire/Steel), Jirachi (Steel/Psychic), Cobalion (Steel/Fighting), Genesect (Steel/Bug)) * Dark Team which I could use suggestions on Moveset and possible pokemon changes (Team: Bisharp (Dark/Steel), Spirittomb (Ghost/Dark), Honchkrow (Dark/Flying), Tyranitar (Rock/Dark), Houndoom (Dark/Fire), Cacturne (Grass/Dark)) ------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------ Lastly and most importantly, as this will be the team for a villain of sorts I am consider making named Theodore Draconus (Yes, my screen name), a Legendary Dragon Team. This will be in game and in a story I plan on making. As such, yes I know this will take a while to make, which is why I want to make sure it is done right. Any and all advice and help would be most appreciated. ----------------------------------- Theodore Daconus An intimidating and at times severe man in his late 30s that has worked with and trained pokémon all his life. Yet he is also a gentleman of sorts, even if he is more of a solitaire individual. He is seen by those that have met him to be a respectful and even an inspiring man that speaks as one that know the world well. Yet by nature, Theodore is very cynical and wishes for nothing more then for the world to go back to its more purer state when dragon pokémon ruled the lands. From a young age he has considered dragon pokémon to be the pinnacle of strength and power. This belief is a family trait as almost all of Theodore's ancestors were strong dragon masters. Yet the family name of Daconus had long since fallen into dishonor because so many of Theodore's family had committed great crimes against man and pokémon or have shown weakness in character. Because of this he believes it is his duty to restore his family honor and that breaking the law in any way should be punished. Theodore has study and researched the myths, legends, and facts of all the dragon pokémon know. As such he could be consider more of a watcher then just a trainer, yet his ability to train dragons is almost without peer because of his knowledge. He is a man willing to do just about anything and sacrifice almost anything to meet his goals. He can also at the same time always be trusted to keep his word, even if it may temporarily hinders his goals to do so. He understands that the strength of a pokémon must be honed in battle and in training, and yet knows when a pokémon's limits have been reached. If he ever loses a battle he blames himself more then his pokémon, and sees every lose as a sign that he needs to make himself stronger as well as his pokémon. More recently Theodore has come to believe that it is his destiny to become the ultimate dragon master because of a fateful sight of seeing Dialga and Palkia in glorious battle... yet to do that he feels he must catch the greatest of dragon pokémon. As such he has made it his goal to catch the dragons of legend: Dialga, Palkia, Giratina, Zekrom, Reshiram, and Kyurem. Theodore is already well on his way... yet when he does capture all of the dragons of legend he will become one of the most dangerous man alive, even if he is not truly evil. As such he will need to be taken down at all costs... who is up for the challenge? (Yes, when Theodore Daconus's team is completed I do plan on sending out a WiFi battle challenge)

The man behind the face of Theodore Daconus
Theodore Daconus replied to Theodore Daconus's topic in Introductions
Maybe, but I was trying to go for a name that shows he is a gentleman and into dragons. Meaning Draconus would have been better then Daconus. -
As I said, unless it was a trait it already had, Shaymin and Rotom count. Though I do see we agree on the other part.
-
I don't care how they fix Kyurem, as long as he stays a Dragon/Ice type. That and I have never heard of a pokemon changing type unless it was a trait of that pokemon from the very beginning. A form change would be good yes... but a type would not be. That is my two cents.

Sense it seems no one wishes to help me with my themed teams. I will instead post a full hybrid team of different types. Please tell me what you think and any and all advice would be helpful, thank you. Empolean Item: Hydro Pump Drill Peck Steel Wing Iron Defense Infernape Item: Muscle Band Fire Blitz Acrobatics Bulk Up Close Combat Torterra Item: Big Root Giga Drain Earthquake Synthesis Crunch Tyranitar Item: Black Glasses Stone Edge Giga Impact Dark Pulse Dragon Dance Altaria Item: Zoom Lenses Aerial Ace Dragon Rush Refresh Cotton Guard Froslass Item: Blizzard Confuse Ray Captivate Ominous Wind

The man behind the face of Theodore Daconus
Theodore Daconus replied to Theodore Daconus's topic in Introductions
Perhaps, though from the titles the books seem to be not in English, that and I have no clue what the books are about. Can you give me some links by chance? Admittingly Taoism is more of a religious philosophy, and I was lead to understand the subject because of a book called the "Tao of Pooh", though I looked into it more when I was finished reading it. Soundtracks from movies and games Though I have never come upon soundtracks for the Pokemon games. On the name Theodore Draconus, it actually just came to when when I started first considering the idea of 'a man that was obsessed with dragon Pokemon and wanted to capture the Dragons of Legend' into my head, though I did want his name to be dragon related (thus Draconus). That and I wanted it to sound like a name mysterious gentleman would have. Wait... dang I forgot the 'r', how did I do that. Sign, well it is to late to change it now.
