Wait what!? Our in-game tests didn't work... My friend walks up to the door and the bottom screen blips for a sec but nothing happens... I'm speechless.
i tested on an actual heart gold cartridge because of that problem
-
Actually that helps alot! If we are lucky we might just be able to do it with 3 different in-game Arceus! Has more than 1 in-game been tested?
sorry it took so long but i finally tested and only 1 ingame arceus and 1 fateful encounter arceus can be used so you can only get 2 of the 3

ive had my replacement pokewalker about 1 and a half months, i have about 2010309 steps and 102098 watts (i walk too much)

i havent looked to far into it but if you are using the pid generator hosted here then for 4th gen use normal dp/gba and you can use pretty much anything else for gba (rare gba, super rare gba)
-
ya, thats right
-
The Legality Guide mentions nothing about types in each gen, is there a guide to this somewhere? Also do all Pokemon from Gen 4 have to be type 1 or just Legendaries?
all gen 4 pokes have to be type 1, when using pokesav's built in pid generator, it shows what types they are, if you use the pid generator program we have here then the pid is normal nds/gba or just normal nds

ok, north wind pokemon

It usualy means the pokemon was traded, does it not?
weve already answered his question

your welcome, feel free to ask me if you need anything else

infernape only has one ability so that doesnt apply to him but basically the ability 1/2 determines which of the two (if it has two) abilities the pokemon can have, for example, rhyperior can have the abilities lightning rod or solid rock, that means that if it has ability one it has lightning rod and ability 2 is solid rock, if you look on smogon they show the abilities in that order (the 1 ability first, the 2 ability second)
im rushed for time right now so this may not be perfectly clear to you
EDIT: here is a picture to show you what i mean

Okay so I have some Pokemon I bred myself using modified parents, who had perfect IVs. I bred hundreds of eggs and used Pokesav to see which offspring had the nature and IVs that I wanted. I even Ev trained them manually so they're kind of half legal and half legit. Now I want to maximize their power by changing their Ivs around a little. I really don't want to mess them up though after my hard work so how do you modify Hatched Pokemon safely? I looked at the PID/IV generator thing and I don't quite understand it. I did some testing too and apparently they's a difference between hatched Pokemon and wild Pokemon when it comes to the the PID/IV gen because on a hatched Pokemon without changing any IVs, I pressed "generate" and looked through the list of Natures/PID Numbers that popped up and none of then had the same PID number that my Pokemon already had but on a wild Pokemon I was able to find a Nature/PID match. Umm, let me explain what I want. On Infernape for instance I want to change his HP IV from 12 to 23 so he won't burn out so quickly from Flare Blitz. For Gliscor I want to change his ability from Sand Veil to Hyper Cutter. Finally, Torterra's nature from Impish to Adamant. Someone please teach me this stuff!
seeing as these are hatched pokemon you can do just about anything you want and they will still be considered legal, i did this to a garchomp a while back and the legal checker program on tis site, and nintendo's checker both say its legal

welcome to the forums
EDIT: i still have my old r/y/b/s (i dont have gold) cartridges, they still save too, they are some of the best games in the series in my opinion
-
i still have my infernape so im good for steel types, it still has earthquake on it so it should be good for taking care of heatran, and who should celebi be in place instead of?
-
lol, i forgot the moves, ill post them in that other post, that was a subpuncher dragonite, now that ive gone over the d/p/pt strategies, i kinda like the mixnite

yes, you would need to find out your sid to make it specific to your user
-
good point, it just had been suggested earlier that i put that on but ill change it
what nature would you suggest for dragonite
-
if they are hatched the ivs are completely unrelated to the pid and can be set to anything, also the sid is just there to determine if a pokemon is shiny and to help determine if the pokemon was caught or received in a trade.
and about base stats, those are to determine maximum and minimum stats not ivs

I don't think I have anyway to set a trade pokémon to fateful encounter...
i havent tested with an hgss/other arceus, if i get a chance to later ill see if i can get an hgss arceus and test to see if one of those would trigger the event a third time, just so you know EDIT: oh! thats what you meant!

dusknoir@leftovers
adamant
pressure
252 hp
252 atk
6 def
gravity
dynamic punch
ice punch
shadow punch/Earthquake/shadow sneak
if we are gonna run adamant dusknior with gravity that is fine but make lets make sure bases are covered Gravity dnyamicpunch is good. but shadow punch i think Shadow sneak is better because you dont have to take unneeded damage plus you can rock lucarios who have a sd up and are on thier last leg and EQ hits grounded zapdos when the gravity gets turned up so yea once again he is better off with leftovers. and he needs ice punch for dragons
i need will-o-wisp to weaken physical attackers as stated in a previous post but ill give shadow sneak a try
anyway, i thought this would be better than gyarados
