I changed the algorithm to Normal NDS/GBA in this one. It should be fine like this.

I just had to modify its Atk. IVs to 28. It should still have whatever Hidden Power type you wanted.

do the t bytes have to be fixed again?

thats weird......when i did it the type was normal gba....

anyone know what to do here?

I ran through Legality Checker... it had invalid TrashBytes, here's a screenshot:

Seeing that it had Invalid TrashBytes, I ran it through the TrashBytes Normalizer and then the Legality Checker and it was good this time, screenshot of the fixed Froslass in Legality Checker:

In answer to the question, any are fine, but I think Normal D/P or GBA would be the most common and easiest to work with.

eon, you can probably tell that im new to hacking, so i didnt know what was the best choice

after a nice vacation, im back to hacking.

i found some problems with my froslass posted above, mainly with the PID.

Which type fits?

-NORMAL GBA

-RARE GBA

-NORMAL D/P OR GBA

i will have another .pkm later today but can someone help with this PID problem?

My computer wont allow me to use legal.exe or trash byte normalizer. i originally wanted to edit over my poke's while still having them pass hack checks from nintendo. But, as you can see i cant do it due to program malfunctions.....

so from time to time i'll post a pkm file here, and if anyone could run it through the above programs and post it back here, IT WOULD HELP ALOT!

hi everybody! As damio and sabresite are already aware of, I CANT GET THE LEGALITY CHECKER TO WORK. Now, damio and sabre did an good job of trying to figure out what's wrong, but it's still not working!

If anyone who reads this uses legal.exe on a regular basis, please help me out and pm me!

k, so as you can probably tell im trying to create legal pokemon. But i hit a typical wall...I DONT KNOW WHAT IM DOING!

So the purpose of this thread is to create a "dummies" guide to the three programs above, so that everyone (including myself) can create and edit better pokemon. Depending on the usefulness of the guide, this thread may even be stickied!

Note: The guide you are posting must try and:

-be simple enough for someone with basic computer knowledge to understand

-have a step by step format on how to use it properly

-acronym meanings in brackets

-include examples

-troubleshooting( based on the most common and easily fixable issues)

(moderators**you may add and edit this first post if i forgot something)
