Here are some things to keep in mind though if you want to go competitive:

- EV training. To EV Train, use the Super Training feature. It's a lot faster if you buy the right nutrients (Carbos, Calcium, Iron, Protein, etc). EV training is done to raise certain stats to make them more effective. All of my Pokemon you fought where EV trained (because it's so easy to do in this game). So, my Clawitzer's special attack is EV trained, and so is it's HP: meaning it takes hits better as a result and it dishes out more damage. My Noivern's nature is Timid (uh oh don't let Lego see this) boosting it's speed, and it's EV trained in speed making it ludicrously fast. You can EV train any stat you want, allowing for a lot of freedom sometimes, but some Pokemon are meant to be EV trained in particular ways. The frail ones are invested in attack/speed usually.
