Add Color

I'm new here, and I don't really understand any of this. I currently own Nintendo DSi XL Action Replay DSi 4GB Nintendo DS SandDisk Pokemon Heart Gold I want to use Pokesav to get my IVs, and maybe natures, but I haven't been able to figure out how to back up my game save for Pokesav, and without that I don't see how to make Pokesav work and be legit looking. I'm going to do EV training and catching all on my own, IVs are just so hard. What's the most simple way I can do this?
