  1. Yeah, you should be able to do that. Here's the attached .pkm file for a random holding a Master Ball. Master Ball.pkm
  2. Info on hex values: http://projectpokemon.org/forums/showthread.php?218-~Guide-to-44h-45h-46h-47h-and-85h-Values~ Make sure that, in pokesav, you have the two drop down boxes on the right side (in the edit screen for a .pkm) selected correctly. I would take a screenshot but my Photoshop decided to assplode. Anywho, first value (Met in Place) is where it hatched and second value (Egg Hatched at - which honestly is a confusing name and should be renamed 'Egg Obtained at') should be the Day Care Couple or wherever you got it.
  3. I can upload the file if you want, but I'm assuming that you require someone else to do it because you can't work with pokesav/pokegen? If so, do you want an AR code or wi-fi trade and on what game?
  4. Well for what it's worth I'm monitoring the forum to do any and all requests. I like it and figure it will help me get faster at making .pkm's etc. in the future. I just wish everyone would use the format provided when filling out requests...
  5. No problem. Not sure why it kicked me out though, lol.
  6. Yay, someone who used the template! Few things: - Put game origin as Platinum as don't know which of the three Sinnoh games your using. As secret ID is going to be wrong as well, it will most likely say "apparently hatched at Spear Pillar". - The ability (Speed Boost) isn't one of Zubat's, so it's not technically legal. Beyond that you're good to go! Friend code is 2322-3558-3313 (Rinduri). Tell me when you want to set up a time to trade.
  7. Well if it can be done without soldering like you say then I may just go ahead and do that, since I only need to transfer it once. Thanks for all the info guys!
  8. Thank you all for the responses. I already knew about the way with opening the cartridge, but didn't want to attempt it since I've never done anything like that before and certainly don't know how to solder. But... How would that work -without- the soldering?
  9. Alright thanks for the response. I've spent the last hour reading some more stuff... the first link you gave me would have me think as if this is just now, as of December, being able to be done, and yet there is a section on this site dedicated entirely for requests so that users who cannot access pokesav on their DS can get trades for desired pokemon. Such trades would require the person trading to be able to access pokesav on a legit copy of the game or transfer the saves on and off the PC... yet how is this done? The same link, the first, also has me getting the FTP error, most likely because I don't have a 3-in-1... yet when I have a SD card inserted the same thing happens (DSi, of course). Again, I'm new to this so I'm not quite sure what is going on. I read through the posts and gathered that there was mostly nothing I can do. What is the 3-in-1 thing and what is the device in the second link - why would I need these? I've heard about 'Rudolf's Tools'... perhaps I could try that? I'm not sure... EDIT: Got some answers on GBA temp as to the tool in the second link... I kinda see how this all works out now. But is there any other way to avoid the $30 pricetag?
  10. Alrighty then... I'm new to the whole flashcart thing (and indeed even DS-related things, just got my own a few weeks ago) so please allow me to ask this question in my utter noobiness. I didn't exactly know where to post, but I figured this would be an okay section so sorry if I am wrong. My question is simple: is there a way to get the a .sav of SoulSilver off of my PC and onto the legit, in-store bought cartridge version of the game? I bought a DSTwo flashcart in anticipation of being able to do this feat, yet lost all the threads and guides on how to do so in the gap between wanting and acquiring... only to have my Google skills fail me presently. I -think- it is possible, but, like I said, I don't know enough to figure it out on my own... and so I have come here. You guys have some threads on how to do the reverse (DSi to PC) for Platinum in the above stickies, but I honestly get lost halfway through them and I am using a different game... I know that you can use http://www.shunyweb.info to convert the file into a format that can be read by the flashcart, but I'm not sure how to get that same save onto the SoulSilver cart. Please help.
  11. Update: Help isn't needed anymore. The save was corrupted so I'm just starting my game over.
  12. Hello all, I have quite an interesting problem (or so it is to me, albeit frustrating), regarding hacking a Soul Silver ROM with No$GB and was wondering if I could get some help. I'm having trouble creating a pokemon and getting it to appear in-game, among other things. I've read up on some guides and watched quite a few videos and yet I still cannot figure out that problem. I'm going to post a screenshot of the pokemon to see if you guys can point out any obvious errors on my part. Now by just using that and exporting the code I originally had my game crash every time when clicking OK on the AR cheats menu in No$GBA. I later checked and found out that all the ribbons were selected, so I undid that and changed the EVs around a bit, and now it won't crash. However, when I press L + R in the game nothing happens. I've tried loading the pokemon in slot 1 and 2, and tried a box as well but it just won't appear. And yes, I did select when outputting the code that I changed slot 1 or 2 or whatever I changed and the number in the party. As for that number, I tried both 1 and 2 on multiple times as I'm not sure if they mean total without the hack or just the pokemon you are going to use with pokesav (I have a party member in slot 1). So, I figured I'd try the alternative method which seemed to work for people whose AR codes weren't working - saves. I backed up my save, and, because I didn't know whether or not to load the save into pokesav or if I didn't need it and could just create a new one, tried both. However, upon loading I get a suspiciously high amount of missing or incorrect values of which I'm not sure what to make. Here's a screenshot. And yes, like I said, this is AFTER loading the save. Now I'm no expert but I think this is the main problem with it not working at what happens when I load up a pokesav-edited save (more on that in a bit). If it does matter, my saves are 521KB as opposed to the 512KB which is selected. Not sure how to change that. Either way I've tried loading my scyther and moding the save file and then loading it up, per the instructions. Well, when I do this it completely erases my currently saved game and I have to start from scratch. Not only that, but there is no scyther in my party when I get access to the pokemon menu. Here's what I've concluded: - I'm pretty sure it's not a problem with the party slots, as I tried loading the scyther into each slot just to see if it would appear SOMEWHERE. - I figure there is a problem somewhere with the scyther itself, as it doesn't appear in either of the hacking methods. - I also figure that the reason behind it erasing my save is because when I load my non-hacked one it doesn't have any data at all, and therefore the hack writes over it accordingly. Now, for the record, I have used pokesav for other things that worked. In particular I removed all my TMs/HMs so I could get past the woman outside the 5th gym leader who wouldn't stop talking until she gave you HM02. When I did this (with an AR code, mind you) I was left with 99x Heavy Balls without a picture in my TMs/HMs bag but besides that it worked properly. Then, using a standard all-TM/HM code the Heavy Balls disappeared. Anyway it's quite frustrating. I've literally been sitting here for hours trying to troubleshoot through it myself, and I'm at a loss. Can one of you help me? I'd be happy to provide more screenshots and I also have TeamViewer if it is convenient. I just don't want to spend my entire life looking for a shiny scyther lol.
