<p><p><p><p><p>Like I said, there are specific roles. Defensively, Swampert is better, no question about it. It can set rocks, reliably phase through Substitutes (though Daikenki can phase through Taunts) and has STAB Earthquake to dispatch threats like Metagross, Heatran and Tyranitar. Immunity to electricity is amazing as well and its only true weakness is easily predicted. However, Daikenki actually resists water and ice, which can come in handy, as pure water typing is quite good. Its Dream World Ability is Shell Armour, which protects it from critical hits, the bane of all bulky waters that isn't Toxic. Also, unlike Swampert, Daikenki doesn't need much investment to OHKO Dragons with Ice Beam due to its higher Special Attack. It's all a matter of preference. I use Swampert, Empoleon and Daikenki defensively and they all work well. Mind you, all three can also be used offensively, so try that approach out too, and Daikenki seems to be the most potent mixed attacker...</p></p></p></p></p>
