Hello and hopefully someone will find some time to spend teaching me a few things, i am a new pokemon player currently playing PLA and perfecting my entire dex(research tasks). During this process i decided that i will be going for a living dex.After that i ended up getting my switch lite modded while keeping my original switch clean with the bought pokemon games i have. I found pkhex and this forum just recently and i want to learn how to create legal pokemons the right way. Unfortunately every youtube video or reddit post i came across is just a mess of flagged/illegal pokemons and the only other post made here with similar questions to mine was not answered by anyone so i am making this post. (disclaimer: im only looking to create pokemons for personal use and collection, while i want them to be legal i have no intention of bringing them online or distributing them to other players)
To start with what i think i know, TID= trainer ID, SID= secret ID, OT= original trainer and PID= i dont know, i also dont know how to obtain the previously mentioned TID/SID on my clean switch or modded switch.
1) after hours of searching i realized in previous gens(gen3-gen4) PID/nature/IVs are correlated but that changed in later gens? When i asked in discord about chaning the nature of a pokemon in PLA i was told that even tho the pkhex shows its legal, its actually not because you cant just change immutable values without also changing the PID or other values, so basically everything is correlated and should be accounted for when changing something in EVERY generation? pkhex also shows a pokemon is legal in PLA if i just click the shiny button and make it shiny without changing the PID/nature/IVs etc, so i assume something else is needed to make it legally shiny right?
2) While i was trying to use the ''criteria'' tab in PKHex to create a pokemon in PLA, i noticed that whenever i chose a specific nature while every other value was set to -1 (random) and then click search, my selected nature choice wasnt respected and the pokemon generated kept having randomly chosen natures(those random natures also come with different PIDs each time) . If someone knows what would be the reason for that i would appreciate it. I also want to know how natures of pokemons are chosen from the database. some pokemon have fixed natures while others can have ANY nature? dont have to go into specifics just wanna know in general how that works.
3) If i want to create a legal pokemon with my desired nature/IVs/EVs stats or whatever, i should be using another program that generates the appropriate PID that matches the above mentioned stats? i know that something like that exists for shiny pokemon creation, if you have more info about that please throw it in.
