Hey guys,
I have two old GBC carts: Pokémon Oro (Gold Spanish) and Plata (Silver Spanish). Batteries are dead on both, so saves don’t stick in-game. I dumped the SRAM with gbflash/gbxcart right away.
Gold sav: Some progress data looks intact in HxD (e.g., badges at 0x21AE). Trainer name is garbage (01 33 04 26 02 D4 38 at 0x200B). PKHeX loads but blank screen/no tabs. BGB with matching ROM loads new game.
Silver sav: Battery died a while ago; tested a new save which wiped as expected. Probably empty.
Tried force load/export in latest PKHeX, overlay with blank sav, BGB. No luck. Can you help salvage what you can from Oro at least?
