Interesting, I'll attempt to replicate the save transfer issue with screenshots this weekend before we put this to bed. Regarding Pumpkaboo -> Gourgeist, I'd argue the form reset is an issue because it affects the legality of the Gourgeist. Specifically the wonder card pumpkaboo are all set to Super Size, and changing its form/size upon "evolution" leads to PkHex flagging the Gourgeist illegal per "unable to match to a Wonder Card in database" (paraphrasing). Given that most players use PkHex for their Gen VI trading/evolutions (due to lack of easy connectivity for trading on most current 3DS emulators), event Gourgeist legality could be relevant for a few people. Maybe even a dozen Thanks for the quick reply earlier!

When trasnferring Pumpkaboo between instances of PKHex, or when "evolving" a pumpkaboo (ie., setting its species to Gourgeist), its form is always set to "Average Size" regardless of the pkm's actual size. Noticed this in the May update of PKHex, occurred when dragging Pumpkaboo from an X save to a Y save. Also noticed this when setting species from Pumpkaboo to Gourgeist on the X save (without moving it to the Y save.) This affected all sizes: Small, Large, and Super. 4 affected pokemon were caught in-game, 2 affected pokemon were from the "Boo! A Pumpkaboo!" wonder cards. Have not tested with ORAS save files yet.

Agree with most of this but the example is incorrect; a legal Raikou with Extremespeed was distributed at Gamestop during a Gen IV event. (I know because I obtained one.) Note this is the only way (I know of) a Raikou can legally have Extremespeed. This particular Raikou was distributed shiny, in a cherish ball, at level 30, with OT Gamestp. Its other moves were Aura Sphere, Zap Cannon, and Weather Ball if I remember correctly! I can upload files if curious.
