  1. Can I get banned for using JKSV or Checkpoint on my Sysnand Switch? I want to back up my save file for viewing only. I won't make any edits. Should I do this on emunand or is sysnand perfectly safe?
  2. For Gen 6/7/8/9 Pokemon, is there a correlation between PID and Encrytion Constant? Like if I were to change the Encryption Constant, would that make the Pokemon illegal? Also, are all PID + EC combos possible to be generated by the game?
  3. Thanks. To be specific, I'm looking to hunt a max size Calyrex (Crown Tundra in Sword). Can Shiny Zacian (Wondercard Event) be max size? Would PID and/or Encryption Constant be related to either of those for height/weight/scale?
  4. 1. Is height/weight/scale related to the Pokemon's PID or Encryption Constant? 2. Can a Pokemon that doesn't have a set scale have any combination of height/weight/scale?
  5. Are all PID + Nature + IV + EC value + date combinations possible for Pokemon from Gen 6 and 7? I want perfect legendaries, but don't feel like I can RNG them. I was wondering if all value combinations are possible so regardless of what I input, it's possible to be generated by the game on real 3DS hardware?
  6. If someone edits the size of a Pokemon with a HOME Tracker, will it be flagged as illegal by HOME? What about editing sizes of Pokemon without HOME Trackers, like in SwSh, PLA and SV? Will that be detected by HOME once it reaches HOME?
  7. Thanks! Can the Wondercard Pokemon in theory have ANY PID? Also, does HGSS generate PIDs for Wondercard Pokemon differently than DPPt does?
  8. Thanks. I want to RNG these Wondercards in HGSS since it's much easier to RNG Wondercards in HGSS than it is in DPPt. Will I get different PIDs in HGSS than Platinum, or do they generate the same way? I'm using the same target date, target delay and everything else. Only difference is using HGSS (which has a different calibrated delay from DPPt).
  9. So I'm looking to create Gen 4 Wondercard Pokemon (TRU Manaphy, TRU Darkrai, TRU Shaymin, and TRU Arceus). Normally I would just find the nature + IV spread that I want and paste the PID result that pops up in RNG Reporter or PokeFinder. But PIDs do not show up for Gen 4 Wondercard Pokemon. So how do I know what PIDs are possible/legal for Gen 4 Wondercard Pokemon?
  10. Awesome! What about the met location? Do my Magikarps still show up as Route 4 for the met location or do they now show up as Route 4 (Pokemon Center)? Edit: Just out of curiosity, I tried the newest development build, and it still shows Wild Encounter via Old Rod on Route 4.
  11. I got this Magikarp from the Magikarp Salesman in the Route 4 Pokemon Center in Pokemon LeafGreen. No hacks, editing or RNG used. Obtained on an authentic North American Pokemon LeafGreen cartridge on an original GameBoy Advance system, but with an IPS aftermarket screen installed. Transferred to my PC using a BennVenn Joey Jr. GameBoy cartridge reader and the current stable release of PKHex In fact, I actually searched through various FireRed and LeafGreen save files on here, and all of the Route 4 Magikarp on those save files showed Wild Encounter with Old Rod. My Magikarp and all the other Route 4 Magikarp I've searched are all Method 1 Wild Old Rod with regular Route 4 being the location. EDIT: Just to be safe, I received a different Salesman Magikarp on a different Pokemon LeafGreen cartridge (also authentic). This time though I used an unmodded authentic DS Lite to play on. Same transfer process and PKHex version. Got another Wild Encounter Old Rod on Route 4. 0129 - MAGIKARP - DA58CC622857.pk3 0129 - MAGIKARP - 692811DB8350.pk3
  12. So I decided to transfer a Magikarp obtained from the Salesman in Pokemon FireRed/LeafGreen to HOME. In my Gen 3 save file, the Magikarp says it is a wild encounter caught with the Old Rod on Route 4. But when I transfer it to the newer generations, it says it is a static encounter obtained from Route 4 (Pokemon Center). What is the reason for this discrepancy in PKHex?
  13. When I access Pokemon HOME on my CFW SysNAND, do I have to block Nintendo servers or not?
  14. Hello, I'm size hunting my Ribbon Masters for the Jumbo Mark. Size hunting in Scarlet/Violet takes forever, so I want to use your PKHeX Home Live Plugin - RAM Viewer to view my cloned Pokemon's size values in PKHex, which will save a ton of time. I realize that I have to hack my Switch, which isn't a problem. But. Do I have to use sysMMC/sysNAND for this to work, or can I use emuMMC/emuNAND? Is there any risk of getting banned if I just use this app and nothing else while taking the proper precautions? I have two unbanned vanilla Switches. I plan on modding one of them and have the same Nintendo account on both. If one gets banned, is my Nintendo account affected in any way? Will I be able to transfer my save data and account to the new Switch 2 if the hacked Switch gets banned? Thanks
  15. Thanks. What about for the Trainfer Info of the save file itself?
  16. So I have a desired Gen 7 TID (6 digits) that I want to use, along with a specific 5 digit TID and SID used to calculate that Gen 7 TID. I can input my Gen 7 TID into PKHex just fine. The problem is that I can't figure out how to get the right 5 digit TID and SID. The only thing I could find to influences them is the value of the Gen 7 TID field and another field called "SID" that only allows for 4 digits from 0000-4294. What is this number? Now this is really confusing because SIDs have ALWAYS been 5 digits long in previous gens from 00000-65535. Where is this 4 digit "SID" value coming from? To make matters worse, there doesn't appear to be any calculator that calculates a 4 digit SID based on the 5 digit TID and SID you feed it. Older versions of PKHex from 2017 allowed you to directly enter the 5 digit TID and SID, bypassing this problem altogether. But I can't find any builds of PKHex that old.
  17. I'm wondering what the event flag is for the GS Ball discussion of the two NPCs located on Akkala Island's Ferry Terminal. Also, do the 3DS Pokemon games like USUM (and other Pokemon games for that matter) record your dialog choices from conversations?
  18. I'm wondering what the legality status and community opinion is of Japanese Pokemon with English nicknames. Now I know that you can give your Pokemon an English nickname in any Japanese game, but the Latin alphabet font in the Japanese games is fullwidth instead of the standard width like in the English games. Example: D i t t o in Japanese, and Ditto in English. The only way you can give a Japanese Pokemon an English nickname with standard width Latin characters is by renaming the Japanese Pokemon in an English Gen 4 game (DPPt/HGSS) with the same Trainer ID as the Japanese OT. Does this make the Pokemon illegal/illegitimate and does Pokemon HOME or any of the Switch games care about this? What do you think? I want my Japanese Pokemon to have standard width English nicknames, but not at the expense of legality.
