I'm not sure if anyone else has ever had this issue, but I've been unable to find anything about it, so I'm hoping someone here can help.
I decided to start a new playthrough of Emerald using a PKHeX edited team consisting of my chosen starter and the rest being edited from some .PKM files. I also decided to edit in max money and a few items- not a massive number, just six lucky eggs and TM26 for my Ground type.
After loading the edited save in VBA, I found that I not only can't give items to my Pokemon or use any on them, but if I press A on a Pokemon that's highlighted nothing happens. Does anyone have any idea what may have happened to cause this issue? It's no big deal if I have to start a new game since I barely started anyway, but I am just curious and would like to know if there's some kind of solution.
