hi! i was also doing my own rom edits with b2w2 sprites recently. usually i get those sprite corrupts when i have too many colors. so i edited your sprite sheet so that the single unique pupil color is now the same as one of the brown highlights, reducing the color palette. https://imgur.com/a/jwMkNu4 lovely sprite work you made, btw!
