That might be the case, I honestly have no idea how memory system even works. Is there a way to lock in a memory you like by doing actions ingame? Does the memory lock when the pokemon reaches 255 friendshow how how does that work?

When I keep creating mons on pkhex and trade with those discord bots to receive them in my games they change their selected memory. Is there some way to prevent this. As an exxample I made a venusaur with a memory like " was camping with Trainer, it remembers how much fun it had" but once traded the memory changes to "came from a trade to Trainer" into something like "venusaur practiced attack xy in the pokemon box". the pokemon has my SID and trainer ID and I have friendship set to max. this might not be a huge deal for some people but I like to have a nice memory that also makes sense with the pokemon.
