whoops i figured it out. gonna leave the solution here in case some google wanderer happens to have this issue(i know i sure as heck couldn't find anything) you have to right-click your mon and click 'set', otherwise the changes don't count.

this is on Omega Ruby with PKHex 200807, game is played on Citra i've tried multiple times to make any and all basic changes to the file. clearly it's detecting my save, i can see my box pokemon in it, but none of the changes have effect on the actual game, despite being legal and everything. am i doing the process wrong or something? after im done with the changes, i do the Export Sav -> Export main and then replace the main file in the save folder so am i missing something here? i've attached the save if that helps main
