All three Pokemon Ranger games had a "Ranger ID" number (English versions as well, I could only find a Japanese image) and Explorers of Time/Darkness/Sky all had what looks like an equivalent of an ID number as well, which can be viewed on the top screen just before continuing your game. I've seen these for many years now and have never understood what they're for.
