Pokesav not showing party

So, I've used Pokesav with Platinum before perfectly, and have just recently installed the HG/SS version for the new game. However, when I go to load the .sav file, it opens fine meaning it is the correct size and such, but shows no pokemon in my party or any playtime, items, etc... Any ideas how to fix this?

where are you getting the save file from? flash cart/emu/off the cart with the nds+, etc.

Try loading it in pokegen. That should work and it's an easier tool to use anyway.
