Tbird Posted July 15, 2010 Posted July 15, 2010 Wellllll. (Posted in creative because ... well I'm asking for creative input ) My drummer left the band, and I've not drummed properly for about three years. I've had a little jam on the drums and it's pretty easy to get it back, but my speed, timing and over all accuracy is completely shot . So, I was wondering if any present day drummers would like to lend me some of their basic warm ups and/or cool rudiments to practice. Hell youtube videos would work to. I'm not looking for songs to learn; just practices etc... (though if there's anything that covers A LOT of technique at a nice level, then maybe I'll consider it.) (Stuff like this - )
tillerjpg Posted July 23, 2010 Posted July 23, 2010 I recommend you to watch some videos by Mike Johnston ( http://www.youtube.com/user/drumteacher76 ). The drummer in my band uses his lessons. He even went to the international drumcamp by Mike Johnston. Also, he got a lot of fun challenges and contests, with real nice prices. Good luck, and tell us if it worked
Tbird Posted July 23, 2010 Author Posted July 23, 2010 I love you lol. Yeah that's exactly the sort of thing I was looking for, thanks man.
tillerjpg Posted July 23, 2010 Posted July 23, 2010 All my pleasure, I'm glad I can finally help someone here, instead of whining until somebody helps me =P
