PlayerOne Posted May 11, 2010 Posted May 11, 2010 (edited) Okay so I have some Pokemon I bred myself using modified parents, who had perfect IVs. I bred hundreds of eggs and used Pokesav to see which offspring had the nature and IVs that I wanted. I even Ev trained them manually so they're kind of half legal and half legit. Now I want to maximize their power by changing their Ivs around a little. I really don't want to mess them up though after my hard work so how do you modify Hatched Pokemon safely? I looked at the PID/IV generator thing and I don't quite understand it. I did some testing too and apparently they's a difference between hatched Pokemon and wild Pokemon when it comes to the the PID/IV gen because on a hatched Pokemon without changing any IVs, I pressed "generate" and looked through the list of Natures/PID Numbers that popped up and none of then had the same PID number that my Pokemon already had but on a wild Pokemon I was able to find a Nature/PID match. Umm, let me explain what I want. On Infernape for instance I want to change his HP IV from 12 to 23 so he won't burn out so quickly from Flare Blitz. For Gliscor I want to change his ability from Sand Veil to Hyper Cutter. Finally, Torterra's nature from Impish to Adamant. Someone please teach me this stuff! PlayerOne Posted May 12, 2010 Author Posted May 12, 2010 Wow! Then I can finally do something about my Infernape's poor HP IV. Still what about changing abilities. I've read stuff about type 1 and 2 what does this mean?
randomcouchpotato Posted May 12, 2010 Posted May 12, 2010 infernape only has one ability so that doesnt apply to him but basically the ability 1/2 determines which of the two (if it has two) abilities the pokemon can have, for example, rhyperior can have the abilities lightning rod or solid rock, that means that if it has ability one it has lightning rod and ability 2 is solid rock, if you look on smogon they show the abilities in that order (the 1 ability first, the 2 ability second) im rushed for time right now so this may not be perfectly clear to you EDIT: here is a picture to show you what i mean
PlayerOne Posted May 13, 2010 Author Posted May 13, 2010 I get it! Thanks soo much randomcouchpotato!
