No new trainer exchange with pokewalker

So I've had one pokewalker since HG/SS came out and recently bought a second one at a local shop.

I synced the two up, got the trainer set up in my Viridian City trainer house and then erased the file and synced it up with a save file for soul silver. Now the Pokemon was sent over fine and even registers on my heart gold with their pokemon...

But the trainer house doesn't update with the new trainer data, leaving me the default Cal and the trainer for the original pokewalker. 

Anyone know how to fix this so I can get a small army of trainers to battle against.
