Legitimacy of pokemon caught on Pokemon game played on emulators

Hi, I just wanna ask a technical question. If I play a Pokemon game on an emulator (Yuzu/Ryujinx/Citra) and catch some Pokemons, then trade those mons into the game on Switch (maybe through a genning service), are those mons considered legitimate? Thanks!

It depends on how they're transferred. Pokemon made via an emulator are legal as long as you're able to get them onto your main games undetectably. Using a homebrew program like Checkpoint to put the save file on an actual console or cartridge won't raise any red flags with Bank or Home, assuming you didn't cheat in some way. I would be wary about using some third party service to move the Pokemon over as you never know what their procedure is and if it would possibly flag the Pokemon as illegal.

Thanks for your answer!

Unluckily I don't have a hacked Switch though, so injecting or exporting save files through a Homebrew program is impossible.

Can you explain a bit more why you are wary about using some third-party service? If the Pokemon is still the same as the one I caught on an emulator, what to worry about? Thanks!

If you ever wonder how to get the best stats, IVs, or shiny, emulators are very helpful. I recommend looking up Smogon's guide on RNG Abuse, and there are many tutorials online (Im a blisy from Youtube's old videos). Specifically, the scripts you can run can legitimize the process and speed up breeding or prevent many soft-resets on stationary mons.

So if you follow the rules of RNG Abuse and further play the games like normal, for any encounter or gift, I guarantee it will work from Bank to HOME.

Pokemon HOME puts a mark or ID on any Pokemon you bring from Bank. The reason having Pokemon Bank is important is that using a 3rd party will not do that. You cannot join official tournaments with any mon in that way. But it is still possible to be legitimate by having a CFW 3DS system to get Pokemon Bank from the hShop, from a main file from Checkpoint, the game cartridge, or the game digitally. In your case digital would be more than possible for moving Pokemon. The main file will need an SD or microSD from the said system to be put on. So that is as close to a solution as you can get.

I have no idea if it's legit to use a Switch emulator. Seeing as Nintendo is taking them down, and as highly technical as the Switch is, they can still update the console so this doesn't work.

But when you can get a hacked Switch, PKHeX will be there for you.
