Does changing a pokemons gender (Scarlet/violet) affect its shiny?

Google gives me conflicting answers, but in short for example:

If I Masuda method a shiny Sprigatito and its shiny but male, and I change it to Female will it stay shiny when I trade it over to my Legit Switch? (diff trainer ID)?

It might be a stupid question! But I don't know where else to ask.
