Can't load into pokemon violet in custom firmware

I have followed all the steps and have an edited file which I have injected using jksv, but when I go to load to the game while the custom firmware is loaded, it says I need to download part of the game which obviously I can't do while loaded into CFW. So I tried booting normally without booting hekate and loaded the game regularly but the save file hasn't been updated. 

Am I supposed to be booting hekate and selecting the 'stock' option to get the loaded file? Or am I just missing something?

If you have a legal copy of the game, it should be safe, im usually on syscfw, with a legal copy online, and no problem

So am I supposed to be booting JKSV while on sysnand? How do I do that? I can only seem to boot it while using on emmummc

Dont worry, im also very new, but emummc its basically if you want to play illegal copies, to avoid "dirtying" your sysnand, i didnt split  and just added the atmos files, start with fusee and done
