Restoring lost save

So i don't really post, but. I used to gen a ton back in the DS days, and stopped on switch bc it just wasn't necessary. Well my switch lite died died (bad battery i think), and i didn't realize until I'd already traded it in for an OLED that save files were stored on the system, rather than the games, so i lost DOZENS of pokemon as well as ALL my progress for SwSh, and while i KNOW there's a lovely save file on this site to (kinda) restore my lost progress, is it possible to inject that through like a micro sd card, or would i need to hack my switch to do so?
