rosee Posted October 29, 2022 Posted October 29, 2022 Hi! Not sure if this is the right place to post this, but I am desperate. This might be my last chance to save my save file. So this is whats going on: I gave my brother my Nintendo 3ds to mod it, but while doing it he skipped an important step: backing up my sd card. While trying to mod my 3ds, he basically deleted all my save files (had a few games downloaded digitally including pokemon omega ruby). It was a big disaster for me. I had put over 500 hours in that game and trained so many pokemons to use competitively. And besides that, I even transported a lot of my pokemons from the previous series. So in the hope to save my save file , I used a tool to try and get my save files back. I got it back, or at least I think I do, but I cant access it. When I place it in the Omega ruby map on my sd card, the game says its corrupted. I tried to delete the secure value, but the app Savedatafiler also says the file is corrupted. PKSM unfortunately couldnt read it either. I tried a lot of things, but nothing worked. I only want to get my pokemons back. So I hope someone could help me or could even try and fix it. I am even willing to pay for it, thats how desperate I am. I have attached the .sav file, so someone could take a look at it if they want. Thank you in advance! 00000001.sav
SkyLink98 Posted October 30, 2022 Posted October 30, 2022 Try this guide if you didn't already: If you or your brother formatted the console before/after the hacking process (or if you're trying to restore it in an unlinked emulated/redirected nand) then you're kinda out of luck.
rosee Posted November 13, 2022 Author Posted November 13, 2022 Hi! wanted to give an update. I got it working again! I did format my 3ds after modding it bc I was panicking. Not the smartest idea. But I still found a way and I want to share it case someone is experiencing the same thing. After I got my save file back from those recovery tools, I saved it on my computer. I also got back my old map where it was first stored. so the important step here is that you still have the nand backup that you had to make in the process. by installing that back through godemode9, your 3ds will get their old key back which makes it possible for the save file to be read again. Place the save file back on the 3ds and it should be working! I do want to thank everyone for trying to help me and I also wanna thank Skylink98, the guide helped me to think further than the knowledge I already had! Have a great day everyone! 1
