unanswered Need help on creating gift pokemon..

I've just recently started playing around with hacking tools, mostly just using the trainer editor, wild pokemon editor, and basic things as that..

I am by no means a hacking pro and one thing i've never been able to grasp is how to script edit and such. What i'm asking for is maybe some direction to a detailed guide that can help me.

I'm looking to create "gift" pokemon, and what i mean by that is I want to create an event in Diamond that will let me receive all the past generation starters, by maybe visiting prof rowan after completing a certain amount of seen/caught pokedex count, or by visiting a trainer in certain cities. Also would like to create an event for the first time you visit the daycare center and receive a Togepi egg.

Anyone that can help me find a good guide to help along with what tools i'd need would be appreciated. When it comes to this aspect of hacking, i'm clueless.
