Rules: Evasion Clause, Extended Game, Freeze Clause, OHKO Clause, Sleep Clause Pokemon: (In order of appearance) Wraith89 AirMan v AirMan sent out Charizard (lvl 100 Charizard M). wraith89 sent out Blue (lvl 100 Wartortle F). Blue used Fake Out. A critical hit! Charizard lost 28% of its health. Charizard flinched! --- My anti-lead Wartortle. I am FULL of anti lead Pokemon... better watch out v Charizard used Hidden Power. It's super effective! Blue lost 76% of its health. Charizard lost 10% of its health. Blue used Mirror Coat. Charizard lost 135% of its health. AirMan's Charizard fainted. --- And I knew something like this would happen. But then again, why am I running Focus Sash on Wartortle? It always survives! v AirMan switched in Pikachu (lvl 100 Pikachu M). wraith89: I guess I don't need Sash after all Blue used Aqua Jet. Pikachu lost 64% of its health. Pikachu used Substitute. Pikachu lost 25% of its health. Pikachu made a substitute! --- DOH! This is why... I should run something like Muscle Band >.> v Shadow has entered the room. Blue used Aqua Jet. The substitute took damage for Pikachu! Pikachu's substitute faded! Pikachu used Thunderbolt. It's super effective! Blue lost 185% of its health. wraith89's Blue fainted. --- Ewww I got defeated by an evil yellow rat? Seriously?? v Shadow: AirMan: wraith89 switched in Laziness (lvl 100 Slaking M). Laziness used Pursuit. Pikachu lost 84% of its health. AirMan's Pikachu fainted. --- Wait. You mean to tell me you only took 84% from Slaking's Pursuit? What kind of steroids are you on Pikachu? v wraith89: I love my Wartortle AirMan switched in Vileplume (lvl 100 Vileplume F). Shadow: My NU team sucks. wraith89 switched in Medusoid (lvl 100 Tangela F). Vileplume used Substitute. Vileplume lost 25% of its health. Vileplume made a substitute! Vileplume's Black Sludge restored a little health! Vileplume restored 6% of its health. --- Out comes Vileplume... and out comes Tangela to play. Usually, don't count on this. Sludge Bomb will make short work of Tangela. I got lucky that it did not even run that... v AirMan: Mine too AirMan switched in Kangaskhan (lvl 100 Kangaskhan F). Medusoid used Sunny Day. The sun began to shine! The sun continues to shine. --- And let the sun shine! v Medusoid used Sleep Powder. Kangaskhan fell asleep! Kangaskhan is fast asleep! The sun continues to shine. --- And put the mommy to sleep... v Medusoid used Solarbeam. Kangaskhan lost 57% of its health. Kangaskhan is fast asleep! The sun continues to shine. --- Don't wake mommy! Solarbeam! v Medusoid used Solarbeam. Kangaskhan lost 53% of its health. AirMan's Kangaskhan fainted. The sun continues to shine. --- Rise and shine... oh... boom! v AirMan switched in Vileplume (lvl 100 Vileplume F). Medusoid used Hidden Power. It's super effective! Vileplume lost 74% of its health. Vileplume used Substitute. But it failed! The sun continues to shine. Vileplume's Black Sludge restored a little health! Vileplume restored 6% of its health. --- It must not be running over 200 speed. HP Fire powered up with Modest nature + Sun... managed 74%? Awww... a bit too weak >.< v Vileplume used Protect. Vileplume protected itself! Medusoid used Hidden Power. Vileplume protected itself! The sun continues to shine. Vileplume's Black Sludge restored a little health! The sun continues to shine. --- Let's set up the sun while we're at it. It isn't as if Tangela should be fighting Articuno anyways... v wraith89 switched in Ember (lvl 100 Flareon F). Articuno is fast asleep! The sun continues to shine. --- So let's bring out Flareon to play in the sun! v Shadow: Otheriwse exguttor wouldbe better. Articuno is fast asleep! Ember used Lava Plume. It's super effective! Articuno lost 55% of its health. The sun continues to shine. Articuno's leftovers restored its health a little! Articuno restored 6% of its health. --- Sun boosted STAB Lava plume... only 55%? Well at least it shaved off over 50% of its HP... and with 6 SpA investment... wait a minute. O_O THAT MEANS ARTICUNO SUCKS! > v Shadow: Lol. Articuno woke up! Articuno used Ice Beam. It's not very effective... Ember lost 10% of its health. Ember used Lava Plume. It's super effective! Articuno lost 59% of its health. AirMan's Articuno fainted. The sun continues to shine. Ember's leftovers restored its health a little! Ember restored 6% of its health. --- I ended up KOing my favorite Pokemon here. GRRR. Hate Gamefreak for making it so easy to KO. AirMan has left the room. wraith89: I need a break FAQs 1) A Wartortle? Why not Blastoise? I like Wartortle's aesthetics better. Is something wrong with that? 2) Nice Tangela. But you are a loser. Use Tangrowth and stop playing around with NFEs. >.> Yeah Tangrowth is superior, but Tangela has something called speed... not that it will help much but still awesome. 3) Well, aren't you giving me its set? Ask nicely next time. 4) Pwease? Fine... >.> Medusoid the Tangela (F) @ Heat Rock/Life Orb Modest Nature Chlorophyll 76 HP/252 SpA/180 Speed - Sleep Powder - Sunny Day/Synthesis - Solarbeam/Grass Knot - HP Fire If you already have sun support, there are other options listed. Grass Knot is there if you think Tyranitar will catch up to you eventually. The Speed EVs hit 200 Speed with IV of 30 Speed taken into account (since we are using HP Fire), and with the sun Tangela will reach 400 speed, enough to outpace base 130 speeders and below... without scarf. It is rather nice but falls short of KOs sometimes, which is why Life Orb is another thing to consider. With Stealth Rocks and Life Orb, Solarbeam hurts stuff that do not resist it quite a lot. Scizor hates HP Fire... and I do not even think Bullet Punch will OHKO, not with base 65 HP/115 Defense. That is a LOT better than Gengar's paper defenses... but just make sure you are not totally weakened. Mamoswine's Ice Shard probably will KO. And Special attacks will hurt... even resisted things like Jolteon's Thunderbolt shave off 50% of your HP... and Venusaur's Solarbeam shaves off a whopping 74%! 5) Thanks for the set loser.
