ORAS trading problems

Hi all, first post here in a while — I'm trying to trade injected pokemon via ORAS to a faraway family member. 

1. I'm able to wondertrade these pokemon
2. They register as 'legal' on PkHex

Whenever we enter the trade, the furthest it will possibly get is the screen where you can select your pokemon but it will always disconnect beyond this point and bring up a communication error, if it gets this far at all. 

I've asked them to check if they can trade with others, they are able to.

I've attempted to trade with others, and I get the same problem. 

I don't believe my 3DS is banned as I'm able to use all other online functions, and don't have any problems in SM. I've not yet tried with XY but will give it a shot later today.

Anyone encountered anything like before able to suggest a fix or any solutions?

Sounds more like a bad p2p connection. If it was legality you'd get a message saying something's wrong with your Pokemon.

Thanks for the quick response — as I'm able to wondertrade the pokemon in question legality doesn't seem to be an issue

Thing is I have had the same problem with various other players as well, every time I try to do a trade in fact, so I'm not sure what's going on

Wonder Trade connects you to Ninty's servers. Trade, if I'm not wrong, connects you with the other player. Your network must be strong enough or allow that p2p connection.

Have you tried a different network altogether?

Hopefully it's a case of needing to sit closer to the router
