Indard
When sun and moon were coming out i grabbed a copy of phhex and made the legionaries at lvl 5 to run through the game with Tried genning them into my Omega ruby and it appeared as a bulbasaur Wondering if i make a pokemon it shows up as a bulbasaur then i move it to pokemon bank when it gets updated will it change to the pokemon that i originally made? Don't have any software on my new 3ds since i don't want to mess it up. and brick it.
ReignOfComputer
You can gen Pokemon onto OR but not SuMo? o_O Anyway, if they aren't legal chances are Pokemon Bank will spit them out. And no, bringing a Pokemon through Bank will not change it's species.
Indard
I have a unpatched 3DS. They have a mandatory update for pokemon sun and moon so can't use that. Which means i can't generate gen 7 pokemons which sucks wanted a solgaleo at level 5 to run through the game with...
Guest
I mean If you aren't on the firmware that Sun/Moon asks for, it means you are on 10.7 or lower and thus you can downgrade for CFW. (And if you're already on 9.2 or lower then you don't even need to bother which is even better.)

Guest
In that case I'd recommend using https://3ds.guide/ to get CFW up and running, then you can update the firmware to latest safely and use homebrew with Sun/Moon to backup/restore saves. It's your only option, and it's been made noob-proof enough that you'll be fine as long as you follow the directions.
