Stat modding sun and moon

Hello I am all very new to all of this, I would like to mod the stats of my pokemon in sun and moon save, I am not really sure how to do it or anything so I could use some help please...thank you

Bumping this because I've been trying for days to understand how to do this and nothing is making sense. The easiest guide I found was a couple years old and apparently the method it shows no longer works.

My issue is I can't figure out how to set everything up to edit my save and allow me to inject pokemon into the game.  PKHeX is the only part that I've been able to figure out and its the last step. 

I've found guides requiring I use ocarina of time, cube ninjas, youtube...is there a way to do it without buying a game that still works?
