help Windows Error: PKHeX has stopped working

After downloading the latest version of PKHeX(3/1/15), I extracted the file from the ZIP folder and ran it. As it was loading up, a dialog box appeared stating that PKHeX has stopped working. "A problem caused the program to stop working correctly. Windows will close the program and notify you if a solution is available". Though I was not able to find a solution, I came across some people that seemed to have somewhat of a similar issue and in an attempt to troubleshoot, I updated my .net Framework to 4.5 and added it onto programs for firewall to block while making it an exception. Despite this, the same error still occurs. I would appreciate any input, thanks.
