sonicfan7895 Posted August 12, 2013 Posted August 12, 2013 (edited) Hello everyone. First post here, and it's a BIG problem for me. So, who would have thought that in spite of not knowing the risk of jumbling the text of Pokemon FireRed into a Missingno.-type mess would go for the price of one hacked Pokemon? So far, I have hacked in eight Pokemon, and they are (in order): Zoroark Lucario Galvantula Chandelure Luxray Roserade Keldeo-Resolute Cobalion Cobalion was the last Pokemon I hacked in, and I believe the cry offset is to blame. However, I've already repointed it once, and it didn't help one bit. Is my game doomed, or is there a way to remedy this? Any help would be very much appreciated. Michielleus Posted August 14, 2013 Posted August 14, 2013 This seems like a very serious corruption problem. I think you should load your last backup. If you haven't made a backup in a long while, or none, then I don't know how to fix it...but ask many great Romhackers, you should always backup your rom (Off-topic...nice to see Chandelure and Lucario in there ;p)
sonicfan7895 Posted August 15, 2013 Author Posted August 15, 2013 Yes, indeed I have learned my lesson. Because school is starting in a couple of days, I won't have very much time to do this, and to start work on a hack I'm starting over on PokeCommunity. And, yes. I shall always backup my ROMs from now on. Time to re-extract it from the zip. Thankfully, since it's only the ROM I corrupted, I get to keep my save file!
